Mary E Pennington went home to be with her Lord and Savior on April 1, 2025. She was born in Birmingham, AL, on April 2, 1931. She was raised mostly by Ella Mae McDade, a very special lady in her life. She had one brother, Henry Clay Rochester, Jr. (Glendora) and several nieces and nephews, which she deeply loved. She was married to Frazier H Pennington, the love of her life, for 67 years. Frazier and Mary had three children, Donna, Dianna, and Darlene and raised their little family in Gardendale, AL. Mary was a homemaker and the best mom to her three girls. She had four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She attended Pineywood Baptist Church. She loved reading her bible, attending church, beach vacations, sewing, and spending time with her family.
She is greatly missed by all who love her!
A visitation for Mary will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.
Mary will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL.
