Mildred "Millie" (Barbour) Beatty

Millie was known as a kind soul who loved to play solitaire and drink coffee on her porch. She had a long career with the U.S. Steel Company and after retirement, devoted her life to her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mildred (Millie) Beatty is survived by her children, Keith Beatty (Michele), Shannon Phoenix (Tazwell), Kimberly Hollis; grandchildren, Erin Hollis, Sara Grace Fields (Jacob), Graham Beatty, Rachel Rouse (Daniel), Jacob Hollis, Laura Kirby, Hensley Beatty, Eli Beatty, Caleb Beatty; and great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Rouse; sister in law, Wanda Salmon; niece, Carol Salmon; brother in law, John Speegle; sister in law, Rita Barbour; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Mildred is predeceased by her husband, Gerald Beatty; mother, Ila Barbour; sisters, Diane Speegle, Rita Stuart; brother, Johnny Barbour; father in law, George Beatty; mother in law, Mildred Beatty and son in law, Jeff Hollis.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be held at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olive, Alabama, on November 28, 2025, starting at 10:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
