

Phillip Ray LaRue, age 58, formerly of Tarrant City and current resident of Gardendale, Alabama, passed away on November 22, 2025. A beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, Phillip leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a quiet, dependable presence that brought comfort to the people in his life.
Phillip was preceded in death by his father, Billy LaRue, and by his grandparents, A.B. & Dovie LaRue and William Davis & Willie Eulean Meeks. He is survived by his devoted mother, Fay LaRue; his sisters, Debra LaRue Carter and Sherry LaRue Evans; and his nieces and nephews, Cassidy McCorkle, Hunter Carter, Craig Large, Nathaniel Large, Emily Evans, and Jacob Evans.
A skilled pattern maker by trade and a prankster by choice, Phillip brought both craftsmanship and humor into the world. His playful spirit, caring heart, and generous nature showed in the countless ways he showed up for the people he loved. His absence will be felt beyond measure.
Visitation will be held on November 25th at 10:00 AM, followed by a service at 10:30 AM at Ridout's of Gardendale.
Phillip will be remembered always for his gentle soul, quick wit, and the sincerity with which he cared for those around him. He will be deeply missed and loved forever.
