Randy Monroe Dobbs

Randy Monroe Dobbs, age 65, of Morris, Alabama passed away on Monday, October 11, 2021. Randy was born October 31, 1955.
Randy was a graduate of Mortimer Jordan High School, class of 1975. He retired from Jefferson County Fleet Management and he was a volunteer firefighter with Mt. Olive and Morris, EMT, reserve police officer for Birmingham and was a repelling instructor for Birmingham fire. He worked for Suburban Ambulance, Hanks Ambulance and Life Saver and for his dad's bodyshop - A.R. Dobbs Paint and Body. Some of his loves and passions included repelling at Palisades Park; George Jones; Levi Garrett chewing tobacco, and he was proud that he delivered two babies during his time as an EMT.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Dobbs and Athel Dobbs.
Randy is survived by his son, Chris Dobbs; daughter, April Bartlett and her husband, Matt; his ex-wife, Darla Dobbs; a brother, Rodney Dobbs; a sister, Kandi Dobbs Hill; a grandchild, Erin Bartlett; nephews, Chase and Blake Dobbs; nieces, Courtnie, Brooke, and Cheyenne Hill, and many friends.
A celebration of life gathering for Randy will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071.
