Shelia Stevens Self

Shelia was a devoted mother and dedicated her life to her family and friends. When she was not being a homemaker, she loved reading, baking, and playing card games. She was very witty and always enjoyed having fun, especially with her grandchildren who were the light of her life. Shelia was a fighter and she fought till the end. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Shelia was preceded in death by her parents, J.M. and Mildred Northcutt; two brothers, Larry Northcutt, and Cecil Northcutt; and sister, Sue Fuller.

Shelia is survived by her husband, Mark Self, two sons, Richard Thomas (Daniel Boone) and Adam Self; two daughters, Kayla Logan (Elijah) and Amy Winkler (Zach); a sister, Shannon Chance (Chris); a sister-in-law, Judy Northcutt; five grandchildren, Ezra Luke Robison, Elijah Joseph Robison, Kaeleb Barnett, Karsyn Logan, and Koen Logan; several other family members and a host of friends.

A visitation for Shelia will be held Wednesday, December 16, 2020 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel. A funeral service will occur Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:00 AM followed by her burial at West Jefferson Baptist Church Cemetery, 4901 Freewill Rd, Quinton, Alabama.
