Steven S. James

Steven Scott James, age 62 of Pinson, AL was born in Birmingham, AL on September 1, 1955 and passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2017. Steve was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He attended Palmerdale Baptist Church and was retired from CSX Railroad with over 35 years of service. After retirement he and his wife Pam enjoyed working their booth at the flea markets and shopping estate sales. Steve was preceded in death by his father, Harold James; a son, Glenn James; and a sister, Lisa Black. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela D. James; mother, Norma McBrayer; sons, Steven Jones (Barbara), Scott Schaefer (Meagan), and Chris Coffey (Brittany); his daughter, Kristina Moore (Richard) and Melanie Stuck (Travis); brothers, Kenneth James, Daril Reed, and Robert Smith; sisters, Nancy Gittman, Becky, and Tammy; Sisters-in-law, Pat Pearson, Jan Humphrey, and Elizabeth Page; grandchildren, Adlie Moore, Jena Moore, Riley Schaefer, Brody Schaefer, Emerson Schaefer, Payton Stuck, and Trindon Stuck.

Services will be held on Wednesday, November29th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery.
