Susan M. Latta, age 91 of Gardendale passed away on Monday, May 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Gene Payne and J.D. Latta. She is survived by her loving family, her sons, Gerald Benson (Wanda), Robert Benson, and Frank E. Payne (Carolyn); and a daughter, Denise A. Hays (Robert). Susan was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21st, at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 5 until 7 PM. Chapel services will be Thursday beginning at 11 AM followed by interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville.
