Thomas Edward Gambrel

.Thomas “Tom” Edward Gambrel of Gardendale, AL was born in Kentucky on July 23rd, 1959 and passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Alta Bargo Gambrel of Gardendale; a brother, Terry Gambrel; brother-in-law, David Reid; and his nephew, Zachary Jones. He is survived by his brothers and sisters, James Gambrel, Rhonda Russell (Ralph), Gwen Reid, Patricia Hughes (Phillip), Karen Bost (Billy), and Sharlyne Battle (Calvin). He was born in Kentucky, moved to Alabama at the age of 5 where he lived his entire life. He is survived by one Aunt, Ruby Hensley, of Kentucky and a multitude of first cousins. His surviving nieces and nephews include Brian Russell, Ben Gambrel, Rachel Gambrel, Cristy Moseley, Devon Reid, Myles Reid, Mallory Merkel, Nick Gambrel, Ashlyn Bost, and Caleb Battle. Tom was greatly loved and will be missed by his family and many precious friends. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8 pm followed by graveside services Friday beginning at 2 pm in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
