It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our loved one.
Gene was a hardworking man who never met a stranger and was always ready with a new joke! He began his career at Liberty supermarket at age 16. He moved from the grocery business to work at Darrell’s tire shop in Gardendale and rounded out his working years at Ridout’s Gardendale chapel. He was a member of Gardendale first Baptist and Andrews Sunday school class until recently when they joined East memorial Baptist church in Prattville, Al.
He was a devoted husband to his high school sweetheart, Sherry Kinard Easley. They celebrated 64 years of marriage in Sept 2024. He was a loving father to Bryan (Shelia) Easley and Robin (Kirk) Pichelmayer.
He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandchildren: Ali Pichelmayer (Tony Campbell), Luke Easley, Ellen Easley, Mason Easley, Maggie (Reid) Boozer, Patrick (Madison) Easley, Paige Easley, Palmer( Jess) Easley, Hope Easley, and Colbie Horne. He is also survived by his loving great grand children Asher and Aiden Boozer; Clara, Sawyer and Loren Easley.
Gene is also survived by his sisters Jewel Fortner, Blanche McElfresh and his brother Clyde (Sandra) Easley. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and precious friends from Gardendale and Prattville.

Services for Gene will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071 with a time of visitation to begin at 10:30; celebration of life service at 11:30.
Gene will be laid to rest in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
