Wanda L. Waddell

Wanda L. Waddell, age 79 of Gardendale, AL went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, November 21, 2015. Wanda was a member of Gardendale’s Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Richard Lee Waddell, Sr.; parents, Hobert Lewis and Louise Thomas Lewis; a daughter, Katherine Lynelle Hallmark Rice; and granddaughter, Tiffany Rice;. She is survived by her son, David Lewis Hallmark (Leah); and her daughter, Elaine Hallmark (John); Grandchildren: Savannah Rice, Myranda Rice, Brandy Ennis, Michael Cameron Marsh, Jennifer W. Griffis (Jonathan), Amanda Waddell, Allan Waddell, John Salter (Lindsey), Mark Waddell (Kristin), and James Ritchey; great grandchildren: Jessica Ennis Poling (Danie), Jake Ennis, Ethan Waddell, Mayer Waddell, and Adalyn Waddell; two great-great grandchildren: Camira Ennis and Athena Ennis; a sister, Sandra Lewis Dobbs (RV); step-children, Richard L. Waddell, Sr. (Rose), Greg M. Waddell (Lynn), Marcia K. Gillian (Rick), and Rhonda W. Ritchey; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 25, 2015 beginning at 2 PM and interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
