Warren Michael Oliver

August 4,1941-August 2, 2020

Age 78 transitioned peacefully after a courageous battle with Mutiple Myeloma.

Michael was born on August 4, 1941 to Warren and Estelle Oliver in Birmingham, AL. After losing his father in WW ll at a young age he was raised by his step father Mr. Frank Rickels.

He graduated from Warrior High School. Attended the University of Alabama and received his degree from Jacksonville State University.

Michael enjoyed a long career in the textile industry which allowed him to travel to many countries where he adapted to different cultures and made many life long friends from all around the world.

He is survived by his wife Taska Oliver. His daughters April Oliver Smith (Bobby), Tanya Oliver Stutts (Britton). Brother Joe Oliver. Grandchildren Joseph, Douglas and Olivia Harrison. Britton and Ebbie Stutts

A family graveside service will be held to honor Michael or “Papa” as he was known by his grandchildren on Friday August 7th at Oakwood Cemetery in Gardendale.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Jude’s Research Hospital or Big Oak Ranch.
