William, of Gardendale passed away at age of 76. He worked for US Pipe for many years before going to Rexam Canning Company where he retired after 27 years. He was a member of Gardendale Mt. Vernon United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents William and Ruby Swanson, and a daughter Theresa Woodham. He is survived by his loving wife Debra Kay Swanson, two step sons Richard Gene Lovoy and John Paul Lovoy; grandchildren Cory McNabb and Patrick McNabb and a step grandchild Tristen Lovoy; Sister, Martha Hubbard and her children, James H. Hubbard, Steven S. Hubbard and Alecia D. Kirk. Service will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, Sept 6, 2014 with a funeral service at 2:00pm and a visitation to begin at 1:00pm.
