Betty Jo Snider

Betty Jo Snider passed away in Farmers Branch, Texas on September 26, 2007. Betty was born on December 8, 1919 in Foreman Arkansas to Joseph Washington and Olivia Yauger. She was married to Dr. J.D. Snider in Foreman on September 15, 1943. After World War II, they settled in eastern New Mexico and west Texas where they raised a family. Betty was very involved in both community efforts and the foundation and activities of multiple Episcopal churches in the area. Betty is survived by two sons, John Lee Snider and his wife Janie Sandoval Snider of Dallas, and Robert David Snider and his wife Loretta Snider of Orlando, grandchildren Jacob Daniel Snider and Robert Dale Snider of Orlando and her sister, Polly Crank of Foreman. Betty is preceded in death by her husband and parents. A memorial service will be held at Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church in Foreman on Saturday, October 6th with a reception at 1 p.m. followed by the service at 2 p.m. Interment will be in Lubbock, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
