Her predeceased parents, Jimmy Ray and Nancy JoAnn Simpson, gave birth to Carol on August 20, 1955, in Austin, Texas.
Her surviving loved ones include her son and his wife, Keith and Arni Rohan; grandson, Ian Rohan; companion, Adan Martinez; sister and her husband, Terry and Gene Stabeno; nephew, Cody Stabeno; sister and her husband, Sandra and Jim Davis; niece, Ashley Davis; brother, Jimmy Simpson, Jr.; sisters, Tracy and Kristal Simpson, adopted siblings, Trishoune and Kenneth Simpson, Kenisha George and Ashley Hare.
Carol worked for the University of Texas in Austin for almost 26 years and was a member of the Lawler Baptist Church in Florence, Texas.
Her passions were God, her companion, family, friends, pets, plants, music, songwriting and singing. During her teenage years she was a singer and tambourine player in a rock’n’roll band, Express. Her beautiful and angelic voice now resonates in heaven.
She was very charismatic; loved communicating one on one; always gave everyone the benefit of the doubt; full of inspiring wisdom; and was a true comedian. She loved Christmas and always wore her Santa hat. Most of all, she will be greatly missed and always dwell within our hearts.
Carol’s Visitation will be at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 5, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held at the Lawler Baptist Church on Friday, September 6, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.
