

David was a multi-talented renaissance man with many talents. He loved being with people and was a special friend to many. Besides being a computer expert, he was an excellent photographer, who was skilled at taking night photos of moving objects. He loved to cook, especially for other people. From an early age, Dave showed a talent for music and enjoyed playing in the Georgetown High School band under the direction of Rodney Klett. This was during some of G.H.S.’s most successful years. He has played bass guitar in several rock bands throughout his life.
He is survived by: parents, Larry and Ginger Myers, of Georgetown; sister, Vicki Taylor and husband, Leonard, of Georgetown; niece, Ruth Taylor, also of Georgetown; former wife, Melinda Stone Liddle of San Antonio. The surviving aunts are Wanda Lyle of Ft. Worth, Joyce Hinds (and husband Bill) of Georgetown, Peggy Swann (and husband Jim) of Lantana, Barbara Bolding (and husband Gilbert) of Round Rock. He is survived by one uncle: Jim Myers (and wife Barbara) of Burnet. David is survived by many cousins and numerous friends and acquaintances.
He is preceded in death by grandparents, Loyd and Edna Myers of Liberty Hill, Jay and Auda Bee Moore of McAllen; cousin, Dina Myers of Austin; niece, Tirzah Rae Taylor, of Liberty Hill.
David attended Georgetown schools from 4th grade through eleventh grade. He also attended Florence High School. He received an associate degree in electronics from Southwest School of Electronics in Austin in 1996.
Dave’s first employment was as a DJ in Austin with B93 (his radio name was “Diamond Dave”). He was also a DJ in Midland and Amarillo before coming back to Austin and working at 96.7 (his radio name was “Dangerous Dave”. After receiving an associate degree, David worked for Micron Computers in Boise, Idaho, for eight years. While working at Micron, he and two other co-workers invented a Telephone-to-PC Electrical Adapter and Method.
In 2005, David moved to San Antonio and worked as a computer tech support engineer with rackspace for ten years. He joined Dizzion Inc. in 2015 and was still employed with them when he passed.
There will be a Celebration of Life at Georgetown Church of Christ on Highway 29 west on Saturday, November 5, at 10 a.m.. Visitation with family is scheduled for Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Gabriels Funeral Home on I-35 in Georgetown.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Austin Christopher House or Georgetown Church of Christ benevolence fund. There will be a private burial at Liberty Hill Cemetery.
