

Edna Earle Kilgore, 89, of Georgetown, Texas passed away peacefully on Sept. 14, 2022. She was born in Winfield, Alabama on October 30, 1932, but lived in Texas most of her life. She and her husband moved to Georgetown in 1989. She was a member of Main Street Baptist Church. Her favorite activities were visiting with friends and reading. She was an excellent cook, especially Southern food, and loved cooking for her family. She also enjoyed growing flowers and was especially fond of African Violets.
She is survived, by her daughter, Beverly Jolley of Phoenix, Arizona, and her husband, Trevor Jolley; her son Jeff Kilgore of Georgetown; her granddaughter Deanna Kilgore of San Antonio, and her wife, Lydia Tidwell; and her great-grandson Christ Stafford of Claysville, Pennsylvania and his wife, Shannon Stafford, and their daughter Eiley. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Willis G. Kilgore; her parents Hollis and Abigail Atkinson; and her siblings Lambert Atkinson, Lee Atkinson, Carl Atkinson, Proctor Atkinson, Donald Atkinson, Eloise Harkness, Sue Hubbert, and Virginia Nixon; and her granddaughter Kelshea Mackanick.
A graveside service will be at the Georgetown IOOF cemetery on Wednesday, September 21, at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ernest Jones of Main Street Baptist Church conducting the service.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make a donation to Main Street Baptist Church or a charity of their choice.
