Gary C. Peterson

Gary Charles Peterson was born May 27, 1957 to Shirley and Charles Peterson. Raised in the Olean, New York area, Gary was a country boy at heart. His parents preceded him in death in 2010 and 1979 respectively.

Gary began working a paper route and then, while still a teenager, began working full time for Clark Brothers, as well as another factory. In his mid-20’s he moved to Texas, and as his niece Rosa said. “Texas swallowed him up.”

On October 25, 1986, he and Julie Gutierrez were married and had two children, Jason and Jennifer. Jennifer gifted him with five grandchildren; Jeremiah, Jenesis, Jenessa, Jordan and Jayson.

Gary dearly loved his children and his grandchildren. He also cared about his four siblings and in-laws; Barbara Peterson Wohr (Phil), Randy, Pamela Peterson Greene (Jeffrey) and Chad, with whom he was living. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. He was also close to his cousins on both sides of the family and many friends.

Gary’s departure from his earth on November 22, 2021, was very sudden and he will be missed greatly until our reunion with him in heaven.

A Visitation with the family will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown, on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11:00 am- 12:00 pm, with the service beginning at 12:00 pm.
