Hasan Mateen, Jr.

Hasan Mateen Jr. was born on August 3, 1991 at Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was internationally raised and educated. Hasan graduated from Richarte High School in Georgetown, Texas with the class of 2010. He attended the Art Institute of Austin, in Austin, Texas. He was also enrolled in Davidson Community College in North Carolina. Hasan was a member of the Georgetown High School football team and the Jammers AAU basketball team. Hasan had a genuine heart and touched the lives of many. He loved children and sports. Hasan also traveled the world. Some of the places he traveled to were Germany, Switzerland, Paris, China, Korea, and many more. Hasan leaves behind to cherish his memory, his mother, Captain Justina Mateen, Georgetown, Texas, his father, Hasan Mateen, lexington, North Carolina, maternal grandmother, Evelyn Walley, Newark, Delaware, paternal grandmother, Huetta Mateen, Greensville, North Carolina. Three sisters Maria, Antoinette, and Octaviar, one brother Cordell, 8 Aunts, 5 Uncles, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. The family will receive friends from 4:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the chapel of Gabriels Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Georgetown.
