

Pat was the son of James “Jerry” Baldwin Sr. and Evangeline Baldwin née Hernandez. He was born September 14,1956 in Victoria, Texas at Foster Air Force Base. Grandson of Ben and Rosalie Hernandez of Cuero, Texas.
The family lived in Texas, but moved to Arizona, Alaska, and Maryland as his father was in the United States Air Force. The family was present when Alaska achieved statehood. The family moved back to Texas in August of 1977.
Pat went to Crossland High School in Temple Hills, Maryland. He graduated in 1975 with a speciality in automotive repair. He worked at Memco in the Grocery section stocking. Pat also worked in Western Auto for his father. He had many jobs in Austin Texas driving for Pepsi and Mrs. Baird’s Bread. His last job was 3M in Quality Control. Pat was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa in 1985. He continued to work until he retired in 2017.
Pat had a love of horses. Pat received a certificate in training of horses by Clint Anderson. He trained them by touch. Pat had three horses: Sweet Pea, Ginger, and Wind Dancer. Pat bred Ginger with a Paint which produced beloved Wind Dancer. Pat rode in the 4H Hoof Pick Round Rock Parades. Pat shared this love with all of his nieces and nephews as he taught them how to properly take care of, ride, show, or train horses for many years.
Pat was preceded in death by his grandparents Ben Hernandez and Rosie (Alaniz) Hernandez; parents James Baldwin Sr. and Evangeline (Hernandez) Baldwin; niece Danielle Hollingshead; uncles Ray “Hern” Hernandez, Ricky Hernandez, and Daniel Hernandez. He is survived by his sisters Jackie (Baldwin) Sutton and Kelly (Baldwin) Hollingshead. Pat has 6 nieces Kristy (Hollingshead) Ochoa, Jessica (Hollingshead) Meadows, Victoria (Hollingshead) Garlin, Nicolette Hollingshead, Angel (Baldwin-Sutton) Scrudder, and Stevie (Baldwin-Sutton) McCall.
Pat has 19 great nieces and nephews: Kaleb Hollingshead, Elayna and Jackson Alanis; Taylor, Aiden, and Jocelyn Meadows; Leona, Gemma, James Jr, and Asher Garlin; Alistar, Mareck, Zeiva, and Sterling Hollingshead; Owen, Gwen and Rosie Scrudder; and Duncan and Mollie McCall.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Helen Catholic Church in Georgetown, Texas on Wednesday, March 19th beginning at 10am. Pat will be buried in San Bass Cemetery in Round Rock, Texas and Cuero, Texas.
