

Linda Cox Lerway passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her two children, grandchildren and sisters. Linda was born June 18, 1947 to Marshall B. and Hettie L. Cox. She was born and raised in Sweetwater, Texas. She is survived by her daughter Wende Lerway Scott, husband Shanon Scott, of Houston and son Adam J. Lerway, and wife Dana Lerway of Round Rock. Sister Marsha Cox Brown, husband James E. Brown, of Houston and sister Debra Cox Brisbin, husband Jim Brisbin, of Spring Branch, Texas. Four grandchildren, Erin Tuller, Myka Serwatka, and Ranger and Jonas Lerway, twins. Nieces, Shelley Nichols and Melissa Cech and Whitney Brisbin Howard, and many great nieces and great nephews, and extended family. Linda loved watching a good mystery, espionage, and intrigue movie. She was an avid reader and loved to curl up with a good novel on a cold, rainy night with a cup of hot tea. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. She also enjoyed playing bridge whenever she got a chance. Until her long illness she lived a full life, traveling when able. The funeral service will be held at Gabriel’s Funeral Chapel, 393 N. I-35 Georgetown, Texas on Friday, April 15th, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow immediately after service at the Bagdad Cemetery, Leander, Texas.
