Linda Janelle Martin

Linda was born in Austin, Texas on June 4, 1941 to John Stafford and Nell Earnestine (Hamilton) Davis. 

Linda grew up in Austin. She attended McCallum High School where she played the clarinet in the marching band. She went on to attend The University of Texas in Austin. She later lived in California and Illinois before moving back to Texas in 1994. She then worked as an election clerk for Williamson County, retiring in 2008. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, listening to Willie Nelson, and spending time with family. 

Linda is survived by her brother Fredrick Gail Davis and wife Patsy of The Woodlands; her children Michael Martin and wife Shannon of Granbury and Elizabeth Bays and husband Parker of Stephenville; grandchildren Zachary Martin, Garrett Martin, Christopher Bays, Alexander Bays, and Emily Bays and other family and friends.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, her nephew Scott Davis, and ex-husband and friend Robert Martin.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 28, 2017 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown with the burial immediately following at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.
