Margie Lucas

Margie was preceded in death by her son, Randy Jr.; her parents; and her sister.

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kris Elander and husband Robert Elander; her four grandchildren and their spouses; and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved with her whole heart. To her grandchildren, she was affectionately known as “Gamby,” a name that reflected the warmth, comfort, and joy she brought to their lives. She is also survived by her little brother, John, his wife Pat, and many extended family members.

Margie will be remembered as an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love and devotion to her family were the center of her life. Her life was not always easy, and at times it was hard, but she loved harder — a strength and tenderness that will live on in all who knew and loved her.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 25, at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 9500 Neenah Ave, Austin, Texas 78717

A rosary will be prayed at 1:30 p.m., and a small reception will follow in the church hall.
