Michael Jacobs, 67, died unexpectedly at home on November 29, 2021. Michael was born to Charlsie and Eileen Jacobs in Freeport, Texas. Mike graduated from Georgetown High School in 1973. Mike served his country by serving in the Coast Guard from 1974 to 1978. After being discharged from The Coast Guard, Mike trained and worked as a chef. Later in life, Mike worked many years as a truck driver. Mike's most beloved role was a father to Derek and a grandfather to Ethan.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Charlsie and Eileen Jacobs, brother Warren Jacobs, nephew Stephen Jacobs and niece Michelle Jacobs. He is survived by his son, Derek Jacobs and wife Keri, grandson Ethan Emery, brothers Roger Jacobs and wife Vickie, Stephen Jacobs, Jimmy Jacobs and wife Sheila, Johnny Jacobs, sister Melinda Jacobs, Summer and Kelsey Mantz, who were like daughters, and Anthony who was like a grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, with funeral services following at 11 a.m. at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at IOOF Cemetery, Georgetown, Texas immediately following the funeral.
