Dear Mom,

I want to start by saying I am sorry if at any given moment I was not able to understand you and your illness. I'm so sorry you had to endure all that horrible pain, needles, countless doctor visits and hospital visits, all that poking and discomfort you had to go through. I commend you for being so brave for almost until the end until you ultimately became so tired. Please don't be scared no more. We see your signs everywhere, thank you for that, I look for signs from you everywhere.  I'm so sorry that if at any time in all my 43 years I was disrespectful to you, I apologize to you. 
I'm going to miss being able to pick up the phone and cry to you about certain issues going on in my life. At times we didn't even speak you just stayed on the phone with me and I'd say to you Mom, are you still there? and you'd say Yes, Mamita I'm still here. 
I also remember how you looked so pretty and so classy when you'd ask me for a ride to the Ramada. I'm sorry when I would get mad at you about going to the Ramada (I don't know why I'd get upset about you going to that place, you had all the right to go there ~ your kids were all grown up!) You always  looked forward to Sunday's to go dancing with Geri,  I just wanted you to be a more typical grandmother and you were NOT  a typical grandma, (sorry about getting mad at you for wanting to go and have fun there at La Ramada.) I do commend you for always looking presentable and dressed age appropriate.
I will miss the times I'd go looking for you at your house and you weren't home, so then, there I go searching the back streets of Azusa near the segunda and I'd find you, or other times when you'd be watching Sammi and if I happen to come out of work early and I'd catch both of you at la segunda ~ Samantha remembers her faithful trips to la segunda and you buying her toys and VHS videos both my kids will cherish those la segunda  trips with their grandma. 
I want to believe you are so happy up in heaven and that my Welito's and Brandon greeted and held your hand as you were taken from us, please give them all a hug and kiss from me! Please watch over all of us and guide us here on earth. We each will cherish our moments with you, until I see you again, rest my momma, you suffered so much! I love you, your daughter Chamelita.

Momma, 
I miss you so much, I'm so sorry if I didn't understand your illness at one point or another or if I ever offended you through out my 43 years of our lives together. I'm so sorry for the horrific pain you had to endure for these past two years. I miss our times we shared shopping at the mall, Walmart and when we'd be done with our shopping and we'd go have a bite to eat, I remember we always had to eat before 6pm otherwise you wouldn't eat, because you said two things would happen one, was your food stayed stuck in your chest and then you'd feel like throwing up and second you'd have nightmares. I'm going to miss when you would come walking to my house to bring me any mail to me that would arrive at your house, because I used your address for everything. Also going to miss when I'd go and visit you and then I wouldn't find you at home because you'd be out for your daily walks to the segunda. Samantha, will always remember and cherish when you took her to the segunda and you'd buy her toys or  VHS movies for her and Joseph too. Thank you for that.  I will miss and cherish talking to you on the phone, if I was going through something and I'd call you, you were always there to hear me cry, at times we would just hang on the phone and at times no words were said, but you'd just be there and I knew you were just there for me and then I would say "Hello, Mom are you there?" and you'd say "Yes, Mamita I'm still here."  no words were said at times, you would just hang on the phone with me while watching your novelas. I will also always remember when you'd get all dressed up in one of your skirts, and go to the baile with Geri, there are times that I would give you a ride to the Ramada, even though at times I didn't approve of you going there, (I don't know why...) it was dumb for me to be upset with you for going there, after all you were just living your life. Please forgive me if there were times I didn't approve of you going out to the Ramada, I wanted you to simply be a typical grandma like "my Welita", but you were NOT the typical grandmother. There are times we were told we looked like sisters. So please forgive me if I didn't want to give you a ride. I guess I was just being selfish, I would give anything just to see you getting all dressed up and going to one of your dances, I'm glad you were able to do that and enjoy your life, at tu manera. I commend you for being a classy lady and always dressed age appropriate.

Please give a big hug and kiss to grandma and grandpa and to my Brandon tell him I love him! 

Please watch over Samantha and Joseph and all of your kids and grandkids, son-in-laws, daughter in-laws,  please guide them through life and please protect them from harm. Guide me through the rest of my journey here on earth. You were taken from us too soon, but even though you were scared, you were brave and fought for your life until the end I'm so proud of you, please don't be afraid anymore I want to believe that you are free of cancer, doctors, needles , hospitals, you name it, you are free of all that harmed you, please continue sending us all your signs, we need all your signs to endure this horrible hole in our hearts. Please come and visit me I need to know you are all around us to keep us going through the motions of life. I will cherish all our memories within my heart..

My Tia Licha,
I am so sorry you suffered so much these past 2 years, you didn't deserve all that pain. You fought till the end and I saw all that Saucedo strength my grandma and grandpa taught you ladies.
I remember you calling not Mijita but "Jita". How you listened with fascination to all my teenage adventures and couldn't believe I met one of the " Tigeres del Norte" member in person. I always wanted to drive your " Impala" because you looked so cool when you drove. You would tell me, "Jita, enjoy your life, don't let no mendigo hombre bombo ruin your dreams". 
I remember you would babysitting Cindy, Freddy and me when Mami worked, when we all lived in that house in Azusa, remember Tia, how we were all so " traviesos" ?
When my Violet was born you and grandma & Tia Julie were the first from the family to carry her and you looked at me and said " Jita, she looks like you when you were born to your mother Melita"!
All my life you were present, I just wish you would have stayed longer to make more memories with my grandkids now.
Today was your wake Tia, my cousins, Carmen, Chummie, Boy & Danny, Brenda, did such an awesome job of putting it all together. I feel so proud of them and I know you would too. You had so many flowers Tia and so many people came to see you. You were loved Tia, maybe more then you knew. Tomorrow we bury you and I know you are next to Welita and Welito. I pray to God you watch over ALL us from up above. You will be forever missed but never forgotten. Please give a kiss to my Welita & Welito and tell them I love them and hope one day we will all be together again. Rest in Peace Tia Licha, no more pain, no more cancer, just peace.

I'm so sorry you had to leave so soon...God called you to come home and relieved you from your suffering...I believe you are at peace surrounded by the rest of the family that has passed...I will remember you smiling with your shoulder length auburn hair...Look after us tia Alice.  You will be missed.
