Donald was a twenty-two year Veteran, retiring after serving two years in the U.S. Army and twenty years in the U.S. Air Force. Through his lifetime, he was active in the Catholic Church, volunteering as a religious education teacher, working church fiestas and serving as auctioneer for church events. He enjoyed collecting and investing, first as a young man in stamps, and later coins, antiques and real estate. He also loved traveling with his wife and family, which included many foreign countries and throughout the United States. After retiring, he continued his college education at Mt. Sac and Cal Poly.
He was the second of three children, and has now joined his parents Charles and Flora (Chase), sister Claire (O'Toole), and younger brother Raymond to be with our Lord.
To Don, his greatest and most important accomplishment was his family, and his incredible love for them. He is survived by his wife Donna; daughters Michelle and her husband Tom, Suzanne and her husband Scott; Granddaughters, Cherie, Sara, and Caitlin; Grandson, Justin; Great-Granddaughters, Kayla and Taylor; and Great-Grandson, Gavin.
Services for Donald Hotte will be held on Thursday, January 15th.
