You are never forgotten Mom.  Sue and I always talk about you and how much you are missed. We can express to each other our feelings and after we talk it always brings me comfort remembering all those years we had with you.
You were so much a part of our everyday life,  and our lives are not the same without you in it. Not being able to pick up the phone and talk to you is what I miss everyday.  When I moved away to live in SF it was so hard that I was not able to see you everyday and to be able to help you when needed, but I did make so many trips down there to be with you.  A lot of good and not so good times especially when your health was declining, but each moment spent with you leaves a special place in my heart.  I love you Mom, and I know how much Dad also loved you. I hope he gave you flowers today.  I am thinking about you today.  Love you always Mom 💗💗Karen 

Happy Mother's Day I really miss you so much. There's not a day that goes by I don't think about you. My heart still hurts everyday. I'm proud to be your daughter and I'm thankful that you are my mom.. thank you for loving me and never judging me and you always taking care of me. We shared so much together. I was always proud of you how you handled life even after we lost dad. I admired the strength during your illness and I wish I could be like you. Still today I share stories about you with my friends that never met you but said that you sound like you were a wonderful mom and you were. I always still thank you for everything you've done for me and what you still do today. I wish I could hug you and tell you how much I loved you and how much my heart still breaks you're gone. But I'll always keep the good memories that we had with one another and the things that we shared between us. I brought you some beautiful flowers for your birthday and an angel to keep you safe. Missing you so much Mom I can't believe you've been gone all these years for me the pain is there everyday my heart hurts still .I miss seeing you and talking to you. I miss running around the stores with you buying your scratch offs and watching your smile when I would hand them to you and watch you scratch them off no matter what you won you're always excited. Mom it is hard to believe 7 years today you left us.  Knowing  you are with Dad brings me comfort, but  I wish things were different,  and you and Dad were here with us today, you and Dad are now together again taking care of each other.  I just talked to Sue , she is visiting you today and  she brought you flowers.  I remember how much you liked getting flowers from us and I still remember that smile on your face.  I miss all of our celebrations we had with you, especially Christmas. I wish I could pick up the phone and talk to you , so much to talk about.  You are still so much loved and missed everyday.  Sue and I talk about you a lot.  I am still making your banana nut bread recipe and using your bread pans that you gave me.  I baked a loaf this morning thinking of you , and I thought about us also making those Italian cookies at Christmas . Sue missed your chocolate cake for her birthday.  We still cannot make that delicious frosting for the cake, it was the best!   You were a good cook Mom.  I still have a lot of your recipes when we were growing up, and continue to use them to this day. 

Life is not all that great right now Mom with a pandemic going on.  You are in a better place, safe, and away from so much going on in this world right now.  It will never go back to the way it was when you were alive , and I miss those days so much  when life was simple and normal.  I remember the butterfly outside your hospital window.  When I see a butterfly here at home, I know you are watching over me.

Hi Mom 

I was just thinking about you today .  I continue to miss you and Dad .  Say hi to Dad . This year 2020 has been a bad one . We have had a pandemic here since March a lot of lives lost Mom and still no vaccine so we all have been living a new normal.  Life is not the same with  all that has gone on this year including bad fires.  When you were alive you remember those fires with the Santa Ana winds. Fires here where I live too burning for weeks now.  So glad  you were not living with the fear of catching this virus since your immune system was already compromised with your health issues, You are safe now Mom.  I know how much you loved Trump, not! he now has contracted this  virus  but that was expected since he always said the virus was a hoax never took it seriously laughed at people who wore masks to protect  themselves and other people.  He kept telling us it will go away, it only has gotten worse and people have died on his watch.  With him now getting the virus I look at this as his payback for his mishandling of the virus, he never wanted to believe how bad it actually is. Say a payer up there Mom that he does not get re-elected. I  miss talking politics with you.  I will talk to you again soon Mom.  Love you, Karen

Mom I came by and sat with you today it's hard to believe it's been 5 years you've been gone. Today's the day that we placed you with Dad and now you're together. It's still hard for me without you the pain is still like it was yesterday. I think when you love somebody so much it's really hard to say goodbye. I will always remember the last night we had together. The few words you said to me will be with me the rest of my life. I know you were tired and you put up a good fight. I always wish I would have said more to you that night but I was able to hold your hand and be by your side.I told you I would see you in the morning and I kissed you on your forehead. I think about everything you went through during your illness and how you just handled everything and kept your smile. I loved you my mom and I was proud to say you were my mother you were sweet kind and giving to your family. Karen and I speak of you often and always remember everything you did for us and how simple our lives were. You never asked for anything from any of us. you always took care of your home and always had the most beautiful front yard that you were always so proud of your green grass and the beautiful colorful flowers in you're wishing well. Like I say someday I will see you hug you and never let you go again. I love you my mother and now you're at peace and you're with everyone that we've lost. I love you Mom







Hi mom I'm sitting here today with you I brought some beautiful purple flowers for you this is in memory of you Mom. I will never forget all the special times we spent together. Our trips to Walmart or getting you your scratch offs and how excited you would be when I would hand them to you as a surprise. Our lives were just so simple.I always think about how much more I wish I would have done for you for everything you did for me. I hope you know I loved you so much. And now the holidays are here again and they're just not the same anymore without you. As I'm sitting here there's a butterfly passing by I hope that's you. Hi Mom

Tomorrow is your birthday and it is now two years since your passing.  Soon it will be Thanksgiving and then Christmas which is a painful reminder that you are not here with us especially for me at Christmas. I always looked forward to my time with you Mom. Staying with you and having one on one time with you alone talking and sometimes, you would even stay up past your early bed time with me.  There is so much I want to talk to you about  Mom but I know I cannot . Only out loud to you when I am alone in my thoughts .  I have a picture of you that makes me smile when I look at you.  I remember all of our times together with you and Sue, with my friends and how could we forget all of your neighbors.  A lot of memories Mom even during the sad times when you were ill. We were there for you . I know you knew how much we cared about you and now how very much Sue and I miss you.  Sue and I think about you everyday and we bring each other comfort  when we talk.  We laugh and cry with our memories of you .

Mom I sat with you today on this Christmas Eve and thought how lucky I was to have such great memories of our holiday's together. We loved to spoil you on Christmas you so deserved it. I loved to see that smile you had when you would open your lotto tickets I had always hoped you would win big one day. I thank you for all the gifts you have given to me but the best gift was the love you always gave. Mom, this is one of many candles that will be lit for you for the years to come. Each time a candle is lit it will be a gift as a token of my love in remembrance of you, I will never forget you Mom.

Mom it is Christmas Eve and I am missing you. I still hurt for not being there in your final hours. I never got to say good bye and to tell you how much I loved you.

My visits back home were short and it always made me sad when I would have to leave. How I wished I lived closer to be able to see you more often, but we talked weekly and I was coming back and forth through the years a lot and sometimes my surprise visits caught you off guard. Remember the time I called you from your garage then in the next second I was with you. Sometimes the look on your face, no words, I just wanted to hug you. When you knew I was coming down you always made sure the foods I liked were there for me, the OJ, the oatmeal and my walnuts, and how could we forget my broccoli, which I finally got you to eat and you actually liked it!  I always tried to make you eat more vegetables Mom! I will miss waking up to your good mornings at 7 a.m. each day on my visits. Mornings with you were the best time of day, just you and me talking, I miss our talks Mom. 

Merry Christmas Mom and to you too Dad. Take care of Mom ok Dad, she is now in a better place free of any illness or pain and she is now back with you Dad.

Merry Christmas Mom

  I have my tamales in the frig ready for Chelsea and I to eat on Christmas morning and of course she and I have to have our bacon. No mom, not microwave bacon but the real stuff! I think I told you that I fry the whole package and Chelsea and I have no problem eating it all!  I remember the one Christmas when we thought you bought the tamales already cooked but they weren't, they were raw and we ate them!  We all laughed so much about that.
 You are in my dreams constantly and it's so comforting.  Dad and you were in my dream the other night.  You both looked really good and were so happy. I woke up smiling. 

When I wash my clothes and add the Suavitel of course I think of you. The smell was always in your towels and even in the garage! It's the only freshener that I buy now. 

I miss you every day still. I miss making up a reason to call you so you wouldn't get mad that I was always checking in!  I can now make pork chops and rice with my eyes closed.  That was one way to talk to you so you could remind me what temperature to cook it at and yes, I do rinse the soup can out with water for more flavor!

Please know that your memory lives on in all of us.  Tell Dad, Grandma and Dave Merry Christmas for me.

Mom this is the final entry today to honor you in our book of thoughts in dedication to you. Our thoughts are a legacy to you. 

During our good and bad times, happy and sad times, you were so much a part of our lives. You will be remembered for the simple way you lived your life. You loved your house and always kept things in place, from making sure your appliances were always checked to your clean kitchen floor (which was always a topic when I would come visit) to your clean windows and keeping up with the gardening.  You had the nicest house in the neighborhood. Your neighbors liked you and were always coming over to visit. You never wanted us to worry about you living alone. Susie was always there for you,watching over you making sure you had everything you needed and that you were ok.

Mom,you will forever be in our hearts. We will always remember your laugh, your smile, your voice, your style, your gifts, your grace, your words, your eyes, your face, and most of all your strength.

It broke our hearts to lose you and a part of us went with you. We will remember your funny stories, your love of sports, your calls to us when local news events hit about the winds or fires, or any police activity in Glendora, and how could we forget your love for lottery tickets,but most of all, we are so proud of you on how you handled your illness.

You are with Dad now and you both will be taking care of each other.

Do not ever stop looking over us, we still need you. We love you and miss you even more.

Mom it seems just like yesterday that we were all together for Christmas, I would be planning my trip down next week to visit and it was always hard to go back home after seeing you. When there, all the running around, you knew how I loved to shop! Baking your favorite holiday Italian cookies, you would always cut the edges eating the scraps and in charge of putting the powder sugar on the cookies with your antique sifter! I always wondered why you never bought a new one. Also, our traditional Christmas Eve ham dinner and waking up Christmas morning to your leftover ham and scrambled eggs with any leftover chips and salsa. I still remember all of the Christmas's past and how you would put together care packages in large boxes for all of us with things we needed and our presents were out to the front door that were under the tree. Mom and Dad you always took good care of us. So much to say to you Mom, you are so missed and you too Dad.  Terry has been my rock since you passed. I know you liked him and he will always take care of me. He is also facing some health challenges but he has been as strong as you were with yours.

Merry Christmas Mom and Dad. You will be with me during the holidays and always. Susie put two Angel ornaments I sent to her on your Christmas tree that she now has to remember the both of you at Christmas. Sue and I have been there for each other, I know you would want me watching over her making sure she will be ok.

Mom with the holidays now here i will always remember so many good memories we had as a family.I have your tree up which makes me feel like your with me.Karen sent me two beautiful angels which i hung on the tree for you and Dad.I was able to attend at the cemetery a memorial candlelight service. I was able to honor you by lighting a candle and hanging ornaments on a beautiful tree which looks right out the window and you can hear the water from the ponds.I placed ornaments for you,Dad and Dave.I love you mom so much.I still have many difficult days without you.I want to thank you for being such a wonderful Mom to me.I think of you everyday.I can tell stories of you that will make me laugh and cry. Happy Thanksgiving Mom I am sure you are making a dinner for Dad today. I remember at Thanksgiving Dad how you would pile up the mashed potatoes and how much you loved Mom's homemade dressing, you always told Mom how good of a cook she was.  I have memories of our holidays together I know Mom you loved this time of year with your football and with me visiting you at Christmas with the ordering of our tamales from Marias or going with John to pick up tamales at his favorite hole in wall mexican restaurant and me also picking some up for us.

Just wanted you to know I am thinking about you today and I am missing talking to you my second thanksgiving without you.  At my Thanksgiving dinner today I will let you know how thankful I was having you Mom for as long as I did and I will miss our talks and my visits. I will never forget you. Love Karen

I am thinking of you on this Thanksgiving and remembering all of the Thanksgivings we spent together. Our last Thanksgiving was with Chelsea at Mike's. You always made the gravy. I helped you stir and taste, you were always worried how it would come out and of course always perfect. We also celebrated your birthday that day and we had a cake with candles, I saw your face light up with your beautiful smile we even sang happy birthday which was something you always hated! I will always remember the stories you shared about your past and you would make us laugh. Your beautiful smile and your gentle ways will always stay with me. I loved you so much and was so proud to be your daughter. We had a special relationship which I will always treasure. I love and miss you every day my heart hurts without you. I have been with you every weekend, holiday or when I have time off since you have passed. I make sure you have beautiful flowers and I also hung a wind chime in the tree. I love to sit there and hear it.

 You lived a long and happy life.  Sue, Kathy & Chelsea, and me Mom, we all were there for you during your illness hoping you would be coming home but sadlly you did not come home to us but to Dad. Mom, we will never forget you and we all think about you often. You will forever be in our hearts. The love between a mother and daughter is forever. No one can ever take your place in our hearts, you are missed so very much.

Happy Birthday Mom, I miss you and wish I could call you today on your birthday.  I had Chelsea find some pictures of happier times and I hope they make you smile!

The plumeria bloomed so much this year and now my roses are blooming. Soon I'll have orchids opening up. I should try to grow your favorite flower, the carnation! I used to always laugh that you liked that kind of flower out of all the varieties in the world! Gardening is clearly a gene passed down from you to me and every time I get my hands covered in dirt,I think of you.  I enjoyed so much planting in the area under your bedroom window.  I know it made you so happy too.

 I'll miss coming to the house at Christmas and eating tamales, sour cream and hot sauce with chips and watching you scratch off your lottery tickets!

You will never be forgotten and I think about you every day. I have to stop myself from picking up the phone to call you when I hear a story in the news about Glendora.

 Your last couple months with us were some of the most difficult times for you but you hung in there and fought. I respect you so much for that. We always thought you were going to get better but I guess Dad needed you more with him than we needed you here with us. Chelsea and I will be out soon to visit. Take care of Dad, Grandma and Dave. I love you.

Hi Grandma, I'm missing you more than ever right now.  Not only are there so many great things going on in my life that i wish i could share with you, i also am feeling more lost than ever before.  Nothing in my life is comfortable...and nothing feels like home anymore without you and daddy here.  i'm scared for the holidays, but am trying to stay positive as much as i can, but i'm still nervous.  i tried remembering what happened during the holidays last year, and i can't remember them at all... a complete blur.  i think about you often and use you as motivation to stay positive, to not complain, and to remain independent.  they are lessons i will always carry with me and pass along.  i have a picture of our family at my desk that i look at every day... we're all so happy in it, and i remember taking it like it was yesterday.... i hope you're doing well and are happy looking down on me and our family.  Please don't stop looking over us...we need you. I love you so much and miss you even more.

Hi Mom I am missing you! There are no words to express how much you are missed. There are still days when I want to call you knowing I cannot talk to you but know in my heart you are listening. Nine months today Mom since u left us I still feel pain & sadness u never deserved what happened to u with your health. I learned a lot about life and how short it really is as our own years go by. Mom it has been 8 months today since your passing. I am still mourning your loss and want you back I was not able to say goodbye to you and that hurts. You are always on my mind and in my heart, every day.

Sue misses you so much she comes to visit you and Dad every weekend bringing beautiful flowers and as you always wanted for Dad she takes care of the marker you always wanted to keep it clean so it looked nice.

Mom, I am so proud of how you handled your illness. I know it wasn't easy but you did it with humor, dignity and grace. You made an impact on so may people's lives. The nurses loved you and the doctors were amazed with your strength. I miss you so much and tried to make your life easier and to put a smile on your face. I will forever love plumeria, lottery tickets and baked potatoes! Until I see you again, give dad, grandma and Dave a big hug and kiss from me.
