I feel the luckiest man and brother on earth for having shared all the years that god allowed us to be together. Erika my wonderful sister and the most carefulness person that I could ever felt when she was around, such as a mother's love unconditional.  You will always be in my heart, memories and life. I am very sorry for the loss of such a great person.  From the day I met Erika, I saw that she was a very kind and caring person. When I moved to Southern California years ago and became friends with her sister Sandra, I had just gone through a difficult divorce and had no family in the state.  Erika and her family took me and my kids in and treated us like family.  That was the kindest thing anyone has ever done.  I never felt alone or without.  I will never forget the kindness that she and the Vazquez family showed me and my two sons through our difficult family times and I will always remember all of the good times we shared.  Recently, I took my oldest son Chris to visit Erika in the hospital.  She was clearly uncomfortable and exhausted, but she made every effort to show her strength and even joked around with my son when she saw that he was worried about her.   Erika always  put everyone before herself and went out of her way to make others feel comfortable.  She was an outstanding human being, full of love and she will be missed more than I can say.  I know she is looking over us now and taking care of her loved ones.  I hope that someday, when I see her again, I can return the favor and tell her how much she meant to me and my boys.
