Florence M. Trevino

Florence (Flora) Trevino, 93 years of age, passed on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Citrus Garden Memory Care, Hemet California. Flora was born May 4, 1929, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Claro and Juanita Montemayor. She was the second from the oldest of seven children, three preceded her in death.

Flora married the late Roque G Trevino in 1956 and three children were born from this union Christina, Dora, and Roque. Flora professed her life to Christ in her latter years. Flora and Roque moved to Los Angeles, California in 1958, and she joined Saint John Vianney Church in Hacienda Heights 1973. She loved volunteering and having fundraisers at the church club, cooking her favorite Mexican foods like tamales and menudo.

Flora love to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved to use her beautiful singing voice especially on birthdays. You would always get a birthday call where she would sing “Las Mananitas”, always wearing a smile on her face. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend, always thinking of others first. “To know her was to love her.”

Flora leaves to cherish her loving memory to her daughters, Christina (Greg) McCaslin and Dora (Joe) Yersky; son, Roque Trevino (Jennifer); 6 grandchildren, Amber (Joe), Joshua (Faviola), Destiny (Eric), Joey (Marisol), Roque (Lauren) and Kevin (Melanie). 9 great-grandchildren, Kayli, Caleb, Chase, Annabella, Karlee, Bailey Joy, Nathan, and Valerie.

Celebration of Life for Florence will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Oakdale Memorial Chapel, 1401 S. Grand Ave., Glendora, CA 91740.
