Gordon Herbert Lunde, 83, passed on August 9, 2017 at his home in Covina, California from coronary heart disease. His funeral service and internment will be held on August 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Oakdale Memorial Park, located at 1401 S. Grand Avenue, Glendora, 91740.
Gordon was born on June 12, 1933 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Ole and Myrtle Lunde. He attended El Monte High School, where he met Barbara Palmer. They married on July 9, 1955 in El Monte, California and had two daughters, Cheryl and Sandra, and one son, Gary. In his spare time, Gordon enjoyed riding his bicycle around their Charter Oak neighborhood, watching the news, playing cards and solving crossword puzzles. He was also a huge fan of Diet Coke and M&Ms. Gordon was preceded in death by his wife Barbara, daughter Sandra, and son Gary. He is survived by his eldest daughter, Cheryl Garcia, and grandchildren Kristin Garcia, Nicholas Garcia, Melissa Shew, and Matthew Shew.
