Dear Jablonski Family,
    I am so sad and sorry for your great loss. I first met Jan when I registered as a student at Covina High School as a Junior in 1996/1997. While a student at Covina High School I had the pleasure of getting to know her when I became her student assistant in the principal’s office. She was the most wonderful and delightful person to work for my junior and senior year. I will always remember her beautiful smile, her words of wisdom and her sweet, positive and welcoming personality. Jan taught me so much! She was an excellent mentor to me and a wonderful and caring friend. When I graduated from high school in 1998 she helped me get my first job as a bilingual aide at Workman and Manzanita Elementary school because she knew that someday I wanted to become a teacher. I remember feeling very nervous about my first job interview and she helped me overcome my fears. Jan gave me so many wonderful tips for my job interview. Thanks to her guidance, and patience I got the job and worked for Covina Valley Unified School District until I graduated from grad school and became an elementary teacher.  I have so many wonderful memories of Jan. One of my favorite memories was when my mom and I invited Jan and 3 teachers to our house for lunch. We all had a great time conversing and sharing stories among one another. There was just uncontrollable laughter among all us ladies. Another great memory of Jan was going to a party at her house for karaoke. I remember Jan sang a song she loved called, “I Left My Heart In San Francisco”. She had a lovely voice. Jan was such a fun and outgoing person with so many talents. I will miss her very much! We will have Jan and all of you in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless You and Comfort You,
