Happy belated birthday Jason! Baseball season is almost here and couldn’t help but think of you. Having our conversations at work about baseball. How I wish I was able to meet up with you at camelback ranch in Arizona last year, to watch our boys in blue play . Knowing we were randomly at the same place I regret not being able to hang out . Still thinking of you.💙

Sweetest Jay,

It truly saddens me to hear of your passing, we have not spoke in a few months and I only just heard the news from a tribute your mother posted at a falcons game in your honor ❤️ 

We “ met” through social media and had always kept in touch just to talk about the concerts or sporting events you were always at and me wishing I could be there also.  You would always invite me out but due to our schedules and me being a single mother I could never get away and I’m so sad that I never had the true honor of meeting you face to face even tho we had many conversations and I felt I knew what an amazing guy you were . 

I just wanted to share a memory that I will never forget. It was a true act of kindness on your behalf and from what I have read, that is just the guy you were by nature. Last year I had just got let go from my job and was dealing with a lot and you offered to send me money to buy my kids each a gift for Christmas and your generosity was greatly appreciated and You didn’t expect anything in return, it was a gift straight from your heart to somebody you had never met in person and that alone speaks volumes on what an amazing, kind, loving genuine guy you were ! 

May we finally meet in person when it’s my turn and we can finally have our movie date, I’m sure I won’t need a sitter than ☺️  Rest in paradise handsome 

I still haven’t been able process that you’re not here! It hurt me so much to not get a reply from you but from your mom....I’m sadden, & I think of you daily, I think of you& your love for sports. Thank you for teaching me football, thank you for arguing with me over who’s team was better! I will miss checking in on you on  Football Sunday’s, to ask how you felt after your team lost! I’ll miss you Jason, thank you for all you did for me. Thank you for the past 3yrs, I’m very thankful that you were in my life. Un abrazo hasta el cielo Chulo!

I will leave you with the Jason story that he, my brother and I talked about every time I came home. When I was 17, I had just gotten my license. Part of that privilege was the responsibility of taking everyone to school and other activities. The summer before I left I was driving everyone to swimming lessons. We were running late and I was in hurry. Around the corner from my house there is a stop sign that a lot of people took as a suggestion. I guess the neighborhood had gotten fed up with it and reported it. That day, I didn't even attempt to stop. I just ran it. Jason, sitting in the back seat, yells out "woohoo breaking the law". Immediately after his comment we hear a police siren and a motorcycle cop pulls me over and gives me a ticket. Jason felt that he got me the ticket but he didn't, that was all me

Jason, I can't believe you're gone. I still wake up hoping that it is all a dream...I know that you are in heaven watching over all of us but I wish you were here. Accepting it is hard and I hope that time makes it easier.

I was really happy to hear about the wonderful impact you made on so many people's lives, it really warmed my heart. You were truly a marvelous person and we were all lucky to be blessed with the privilege of knowing you.

When I think of Jason, I mainly think of summers in Azusa and growing up together. He was my parents' godson, my brother's only brother and another little brother to my sisters and I. 

All of the shenanigans you get into as kids definitely included him and we were all part of the same team. 

I think of trips to Magic Mountain where we thought we were cool because we could park in the handicapped spaces much closer because Jason was coming with us. Growing up knowing that he had a heart condition but treating it more as an afterthought than a harsh reality. Always begging my aunt to let him get on the big rides because he was "fine." That's just how the simple thoughts of kids go, he's not sick because he doesn't LOOK sick.

Our memories also include many trips to Disneyland. That was always a fun thing to do together and something that he continued to enjoy even after we all grew up. Riding in the car listening to Eminem's new album and singing along the whole way.

Summers spent swimming were definitely a staple in our childhood memories. The first summer we moved in to that house with a pool, my aunt had bought that Michael Jackson history album. There we were, swimming every day, diving, doing canon bombs and playing Marco polo with the king of pop playing as our soundtrack.

Then I grew up, went away to college and didn't come back. Sure I came to visit but our everyday exchanges were a thing of the past. He shared his ups and downs with me when I came to visit and we even joked that he had more friends in my high school class than I did. I let life get in the way and now I wish we had done more things together as adults.

I remember your love for shoes especially your Jordans. The love for the Dodgers, Falcons, Ucla, the LA Kings, the Lakers, etc.  Your love for mario and luigi and games like mario kart and super smash bros. Just video games in general. You loved to watch WWE and wrestle. These are the little things that remind me of you the most that I will never forget. 

The last memory we shared was Just a few weeks ago, my brother david really wanted to spend the day with him at the hospital so we woke up, and I went with him as well as my little sister alexa and as soon as we walk in, we see him packing up his clothes and I ask him “where are you going” and he replied “oh what are you guys doing here? I’m waiting for patty to come sign me out” and we stood there watching the some kind of show, gameor anything on the tv and he finally chose to watch the Sandlot waiting with him until patty got there. it was until about 2 hours that David was playing his game and he looked up and he asked Jason “jay how old do you have to be to sign you out?” And he replies “18” and David said “you know my sister is 18 right” and he looks over with this face and he replies “no way really?” And we all replied laughing “yes!” And he replied “ I didn’t know that” laughing really loud and he said “it’s okay, it’s worth watching my favorite movie with you guys” 

They say there is a reason, they say time will heal. neither time or reason will change the way i feel.

I can’t believe you’re actually gone. 
I miss you so much. I miss knocking on your window to open the door in the mornings every time we would go over. Sometimes you would say “why are you here so god damn early” and every time it was different excuse and then he would go back to sleep. I miss your smile and your laughter. I miss you hugs and kisses. I shared so many moments with you and I will always carry them with me in my heart.

Every time i saw you I remember you telling me, “you know you’re always going to be my first baby right? I hope you know that.” I would blush and get shy when he would tell me that every time I walk into the house you would always say, “hey baby” with his big smile and his warm hugs he would give. I remember when I was at your house sitting in the living room table he said, “what are doing?” “are you doing homework?” i said, “no i’m writing down lyrics down from this song”
he said, “oh gosh you are your mother’s daughter and we both started laughing because he remembered that my mom always used to write down lyrics from a song. 

You know what i enjoyed and what i loved. 
you took me to High school musical 3 in theaters and you were so excited to take me that at the end we both enjoyed it. 
You took me to get my double piercings on both of my ears for my birthday and he said, look you’re a big girl now” that same day he took me to my surprise birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese. 

When my siblings and I would go in car rides with him he would listen to NWA, Mac Miller, Snoop Dog, Drake especially.  When I was younger you would put Justin Bieber and the one song we would sing would  be “Baby” and we would sing along together and just have a grand old time singing his whole album...continued 

Hearing you sing is what I miss the most.

Wow jason, I keep blinking to try to wake up from this. It’s so hard to believe. We didn’t hang out as much but still didn’t mean that I didn’t love you. After all we share one special thing and that is our birthday. You use to always tell me I stole your birthday. It was always funny when you said that. Every year we sent happy birthday wishes to each other. Even if we haven’t talked throughout the whole year could always count on that birthday wish. We had the same taste in music and I would wait for your Snapchat. Of that new album that dropped. I looked forward to that, and always wondered why you kept buying so many shoes. One day I asked you can we go to a concert. You told me..your to young kid. You always made me feel way younger than you. Come to find out we are only a 4 year difference. Even though you are gone. I will always remember to send you that birthday wish. I miss you jay. I will see again. Rest easy.

I am absolutely honored to have been your leader during your career with BofA. You never took time off and worked around the clock. You inspired and motivated; you were a born leader and coach— it was an innate ability and talent of yours... you lit up the room, your team, and your entire site with light, laughter, and spirit. You brought motivation, beautiful trash talking, friendship and leadership every day. I’m proud of you, you were my champion and a talent I spotted and neutered because you wanted it! You inspired me to be great and be better. You were my rock during one of the toughest jobs I’ve had in my own career. 

I’m thankful to call you a friend. You got my jokes, you knew how to read me, poke fun at me, and we had so much in common. My eyes and ears, my protégée, my friend that had my back professionally and personally. I stole so many pages from your playbook. You’re one amazing human being and friend. Thank you for being authentic and genuine. Thank you for being the glue. Thank you for the conversations, trolling, advice, and love. I miss you so much. I’m going to miss you busting my chops, making the team laugh at our expense, waiting for my reaction to your mildly inappropriate humor or direction, letting me vent, checking in on me, making me laugh, giving me advice, talking Lakers, planning seating charts, watching games and so much more. 

Our last conversation was about the future... about life as old people and your career. I’ll never forget your dreams and hopes, and most definitely not forget how much you wanted to be a sane, perverted, cute old man who could get away with anything because he was cute and old.

I know your court side and front row at all games, gliding in Heaven with the hottest kicks, laughing like a child. I always remember OUR birthday week and month.

There are literally no words to truly describe all the feelings I have and deeply feel right now. Im still in disbelief. 
Unfortunately time and life had the best of us, but no matter how much time had passed, anytime I saw or spoke to you it was like we were never apart. 
Growing up I used to tease you because I was older then you, but in reality I looked up to you when we were kids. I trusted and confided in you. You were so easy to talk to, so understanding,  with the biggest and most loving heart. 
I am going to miss you so much, but you will forever live in all of our hearts. 
You told once me before that whether we agree with it or not GOD has bigger plans for us. 
So I find comfort in knowing you are now part of his plan. Watching over the people you loved the most. Your family!

Jason, I was around 5 or 6 when I was adopted into the Orozco/ Valdivia family and I can say you played a huge part in my transition. 
 You were always there to play with and I could always count on you when I needed help terrorizing Megan and Nicole!
 We used to spend hours playing Goof Troops on Super NES and then when we got bored we would bug Jeannette until she took us to the park. 

 Those have always been some of my most precious moments in my life.  Honestly you have no idea how much I appreciate you for being there during those times and making me feel welcomed into this family. 
  I have countless memories with you that I will hold close to my heart and cherish forever.  Do me a favor and ask Ms. Haans where  she hid the rest of that chocolate!  Love you cousin

Every memory I have of you is one of you laughing or making someone laugh, that was just how you were. Your presence and personality is one that will always be missed and never replaced. You impacted so many lives in such an amazing way and you never expected anything in return. I’m grateful to have called you a friend and a brother.  Love you bro!

Jason, you are so very loved.  I see it in your smile, the way I see your Dad in that same smile.  And like him and Grandpa you  will be with us always.  

Jason was such a sweet person, he was kind and whenever I saw him (it was usually with my son Raymond) he always had a beautiful smile. When Raymond shared pictures with me, Jason always had that smile! I nicknamed him "Mack Miller" and he would just laugh. Rest in peace Jason, you'll be missed!!

Jason.. how heartbreaking and sudden was this. I still can’t believe it till this day. I miss you, I love you Jason. I thank god for the fun moments he gave us, they will never be forgotten. I can’t stop thinking about the moment I received that call. I felt like I couldn’t breathe. Thoughts and memories kept running through my head. I know your in a better place now, and I know your watching down on all of us especially your mom, sister and maro; telling us you are okay now. My fondest  memory of us was when you used to tell me and Nicole you would drop kick us in the face. That made me laugh every time, I will never forget that. My Dearest Jason, Man oh man, I don’t know where to start. I am lost in words. The pain is so real. The thought that you are no longer hear, it’s hard to accept. Family is family and your departure has left us empty. Growing up with you and the rest were fun memories and adventures. To the wrestling, you and Xavier being the Hardy boys was priceless. To the dares in the pool and the Jet Stream ride at Six Flags, man, those were the days. I don’t know the feeling of losing a sibling or a son, but I definitely know the feeling of LOSS, and man does it hurt. You will always be in our heart Jay. Your smile, laugh, jokes(dirty or funny....lol) everything about you, will be missed. I can’t believe our last conversation was about burgers. 😢. Jay,  to find the words to say how much you meant to so many of us is pretty much impossible.  I was so lucky that you still got out the car and went to get pizza and beer with me after a hectic usc/UCLA game.  The rest is history.  You became not just my friend but someone I trusted, loved, and could lean on when no one else understood. Countless texts and phone calls, Dodger games, Sunday’s, Disney adventures, football drafts, dance-offs and flip cups games..: if only we could have one more. I can’t thank Jason enough for his friendship! I met him at Bank of America  through my friend Eloisa and us three always spent lunch together. Jason was such a  genuine soul! He never failed to make us laugh and always made sure to get extra food for us during lunch. He was always there to listen to all our drama and boy troubles lol. Jason was such an amazing friend, he even made sure my going away party was a fun one. I’ll never forget the memories we made and the good times we had! I still can’t believe Jason has left us but I know he is in a better place and I pray that God helps his family through this. My condolences and prayers to his sister and mom and all of his family! Jason will forever be remembered and loved! I miss you Jason!

You were a one and only and I will cherish the memories that I had with you. I thank God for the time I did spend with you. I would never forget how loving and meaningful we were to you as you were to us. Until we meet again and i see you  I will greet you as I always would when I would see you by saying “Jay jay!” I love and miss you Jay! This has always been my favorite picture of us.
