My deepest condolences to Efrain and  all of the family for the loss of Mimi.  My heart goes out to you all during this time.  I hope that you can find comfort with the passage of time and in keeping fond memories alive.  My most sincere sympathies.

I had the privilege to work closely with Mimi for many years at Allergan, as a colleague, as her manager and mentor, and we became close friends along the way. Mimi was the kindest person that I have ever meet, always so thoughtful and caring, and putting others needs ahead of herself. She was full of life, fun loving, bright, smart, and had so much to offer and to give to this world.  If you didn’t know her well, you would not know that she carried much burden on her shoulders and has experience great loss in her life... yet she is not one to complain the hand that she has been dealt, but instead she pushed forward with a quiet strength that few possessed but all admired. She is one of the most joyful person that I know, not because her life was worry free but because she chose to live life to its fullest and not let anything hold her back. Mimi, I love you and I miss you dearly. You are so special in so many ways that words cannot describe, and you have touched so many people's hearts by simply being who you are.  You share your precious gift of kindness and gentleness with this world, and you have made an impact on everyone that have known you.  You were always an angel on earth, and now you are our sweet angel in heaven.  May you rest in peace.

My sincere condolences to the family for the loss of the BEAUTIFUL Mimi.  I have worked closely with Mimi on few clinical studies over the years at Allergan. Mimi’s sweet & kind personality and beautiful smile  made it so easy to work with her.
At one point, Mimi was my cubicle neighbor, so we had A LOT of  talks and laughs (both personal & professional). I was her encourager when she was nervous about presenting. She did a GREAT job! Once we moved to separate locations, I always made it a point to stop & chat with her when I was in her area, and she did they same. I don’t  just consider Mimi a co-worker or colleague, I consider her a special friend!
The very last text (see attached) from Mimi just days before her passing put tears of joy in my eyes, and a big smile on my face and my heart! 
Rest well & in peace Mimi!

All the great laughs we shared when we worked together on the PHN shingles study. We laughed through all the good and even the challenging times, including THAT time you had shingles and only a year after, I myself had shingles too (!!!) 

I am so glad to know you outside of work. We got to share our love for Thai Larb (Laotian Larb in your case 😉), our de-brief sessions after catching up on the latest podcasts and we’ve talked about you visiting the UK multiple times. I will always remember the time we finally got to meet in CA. I will have the memory to keep forever and till the day we meet for another drink…

Mimi's positivity is something which I will never forget.  Everyday I would see Mimi at work or chat via phone, she would have the biggest smile and infectious laugh which most of the time, is just  what we all needed during a hectic workday. I have tried time and time again to make sense of how someone so amazing was taken far too soon but then I quickly remind myself that Mimi was an angel and God truly needed her.  Mimi, I will miss everything about you.  In the year that we worked together at Allergan, you made a tremendous impact which I will cherish forever.

     It's not about what we take with us; it's about what we leave behind for people to remember us by. Mimi certainly left behind the value of friendship and her smile. No matter where, she always waived and gave me a warm big smile.
     Whenever I was on the 5th floor, where she sat, I would always stop by her desk to say hello. She always had a big friendly smile on her face and made it seem like I was the most important person by devoting all her attention to me. She was helpful. She was friendly and also a very kind person. One could not help but feel these qualities shine through.  
     My deepest condolences to her husband and family; she will be missed, but what she left behind will always stay with us.

Mimi made a lasting impression on all who knew her. Her cheerfulness and smile brightened the room. She was on the most consistently sweet persons I have ever known.  Often I would stop by her desk to chat on my way back from the coffee station. Mimi always made time for me and although I was the one trying to encourage her during her illness, it was I who invariably left uplifted. The news of Mimi's passing has cast a dark shadow on our hearts. To Mimi's husband and family, this loss must be inexplicably hard. Mimi even though I only knew you for a few years when you worked for School of Education at Dominguez Hills, it was enough time to see your kindness. You were always there to listen and give advise to whoever needed it. I am saddened to find out that you are no longer with us but gives me comfort that you are no longer in pain. I will always remember Mimi’s smile and her sweet voice. She truly lit up a room. We were co-workers back when we both worked at CSUDH in our mid 20s. We had the same boss and even though we didn’t work in the same office, my first memory of her was when our boss took us out to lunch on Administrative Professionals Day in her car. We sat in the back seat secretly laughing at our boss’ crazy driving skills. From there, our friendship grew as we started hanging out outside of work. She introduced me to her  friends... the good, kind-hearted people that already loved her. I’ll never forget the fun times we had and how she made you feel. She was warm, light hearted, and so caring.  My deepest condolences to Efrain and to everyone who loved Mimi. 

I met you as a young, sweet innocent teenage girl. As you blossomed into that wonderful woman you were, our family knew you had to be part of our family.  Your  easy going nature and contagious smile brought out the best in all that surrounded you. We all fought hard right along with you when your illness started. We prayed for a miracle, for remission, for any sign of hope, but our God needed you with him.  Rest In Peace sweet Mimi, we will watch over your soulmate, Efrain.
You will forever be remembered and forever be loved.

Kanchana, as I will always remember her, was an incredibly sweet and happy go lucky girl. I have many fond memories playing with her, her brother and my younger siblings when we were kids growing up in Hollywood. Her smile was sure to brighten any room she walked into... even when she was missing her front teeth! My heart aches for the family she left behind. I pray that God will bring comfort to all who miss her, and bring happiness as her memory lives on in our hearts. 

A 34-year friendship morphed into an incredible family bond; and now into a lifetime of the most wonderful memories. Your Roadrunner family will take care of things down here and we know we'll see each other again someday. God Bless you my sweet Mimi! And God Bless Effrain and both your families as He guides them through this new journey that will in time, lead them to the peace and comfort I know you want for them... and please let them know that we are a phone call away.
