Dear Mike and Family:
I have often wondered about Merrie and you and family, and where you were. I came upon this announcement today and was very saddened.
You and your family are in my prayers at such a profound loss.  She will be missed by many, even old friends who knew her so briefly many years ago in Belgium.

The year was 1990 and it was my first day working at Foote Axle. Twenty-two years have gone by and yet my very first contact with Noel remains so vivid:
The phone rings at the office and I answered, “Good morning Foote Axle”….a very energetic voice says, “Is this Norma?”….I respond, “Yes”….then…”Hello, Norma, I am Merrie Denton and I would like to welcome you to Foote Axle”.  
Who does that? How many bosses wives take the time out of their busy schedules to welcome a new hire? Talk about first impressions….Noel set the bar high in so many levels. 
My love, thoughts, and prayers go out to you, Mike Sr., Mike Jr., Anne, and Nicole

We are very sad to hear about Mrs. Denton.  She was a very special lady.  Always very pleasant and kind.  We are always going to remember her  smiling and full of life.    I am sure Footsie and Ana Mae are now reunited with her.   She will be in our prayers.

I worked with Merrie at St Lucys High School. She was a wonderful  and lovely lady. We made the St Lucy Dolls together,... And yes she was always very organized!,.... I spoke with her shortly after my Hubby passed. She had words of comfort for me and I needed that. Llife changes so much after your partner dies is such an understandment. When Russel passed the suport from my family and friends were a very valuable asset. There's no words to explain the emotional roller coaster that I have gone through. You must CLING to all the wonderful memories you have shared because thay will get you through all these difficult times. My prayes and love are with you all,.... Olga Blind

Dearest Mike and Family,  Sal and I are so sad to hear of Merrie's passing.    We will cherish our memories of all the fun times together at the Bowling Alley, Caribbean Cruise St Dorothy's, St Patty's Day and all the laughs we shared.... Merrie will be dearly missed. Dear Mike,  Where do I begin...I am so very sorry to hear of your loss. Merrie Noel was such a lovely lady and you both made such a beautiful couple.
