I met Nancy in the 4th grade at Lee Elem. School in Mr. Gilmore's class Sept. 1968. My family and I had just moved from Texas and Nancy was my very first friend In our class. I remember my first day of school and during lunch she gave me a little box of raisans and I gave her some sliced apples. Then we would go and play 4square and dodge ball! We remained friends all through Jr. High and Azusa High. I graduated as a junior in 1976 and then we moved to San Antonio, Texas. But I never, ever forgot Nancy. I recently joined my Alumni class of 1977, because that was the year I was suppose to have graduated. I just saw her remembrance posted this morning and I was very sad to learn of her passing. By love and prayers go her husband and children and her family. Thank you Nancy for being such a wonderful person and an awesome friend to me. I will always have you in my heart... Till we meet again. Love you my friend??

Nancy was a wonderful,strong,beautiful ,woman. She was my coach, English teacher, and most importantly my friend. Nancy impacted my life by making me a stronger person and one of the better volleyball players. She had such an impact on me that years after I graduated I was trying to find her to ask for any tips because I was about to take on my fist coaching job. Only to find out I was to late to even say goodbye to my coach and friend. I will never forget you and will always cherish what you have taught me. You will be missed. Christine Shawkey (Torres)

Nancy we coached for many years together and won alot of games.  You did not like losing and I know you fought a good fight to stay with your family.  You expected your pupils and players to do their best and I know they appreciated it.  The Chavez family has been blessed by your life and we are all saddened by your departure to heaven. Our hearts go out to Ted, Ian, Hannah, and all of Nancy's family. We will miss Nancy in the neighborhood.  She was a wonderful woman and a great example of Christian love.

The day I met Nancy was when this cheerfully loud lady came walking up to me and introduced herself while we were waiting for our boys at school when they were in 1st grade. There was always a sense of joy and happiness around her whenever we would meet and talk with Nancy.  Nancy was a beautiful ray of sunshine in the lives she touched, including our family. We will miss her very dearly. Our heartfelt condolences to Ted, Ian and Hannah, and the Snyder and Clarke families.

My condolences to the Snyder and Clarke Families.  Nancy was a great friend to many, the "Gang" will truly miss your laughter and smiles and of course your stories of the past.  Our time together in August was memorable and special.  I will always remember our times together playing sports at Azusa High.  You will be missed but I will always trust in God to take care of you.

You got me through some rough years! Could never thank you enough! 20 years later you are still one of my heros!

I am so sadden by the passing of Nancy, she brought so much joy and sunshine into our world.  I remember Nancy both as a competitor and friend.  She was always a joy on and off the playing field.  My thoughts go back to our softball playing days when she dominated left field with her speed and natrual ability.  Nancy was the lefty who pounded the ball and raced around the bases with ease.  Her smile and her ability to embrace life is truly a gift, Nancy you have impacted so lives in a positive manner that I admire and hope to model.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the whole family, and please know that we are hugging you for support.

My condolences to the Snyder and Clark families.  Nancy was a true role model and inspiration to me. I will always cherish the time spent with her.
