

2021. She was born 12-20-1930 in Odessa, Texas. She is the daughter
of the late Leander and Anna Belle Browning. Nancy Ann was the
youngest of 5 children, 3 brothers and 1 sister all preceded her
in death.
She married George Sutphen Sr. in 1948 and had 2 Sons, Alton and GA.
In 1954 Nancy Ann and family moved to So CA, eventually moving to Azusa California where they started and ran their business Covina Screen and Patio. From there they moved to Devore and ran their second company Prime Line. In 2001 Nancy moved to Fort Worth, Texas. Nancy Ann returned to California in 2016. In November 2020 she became a loved resident of the memory care unit at Regency Grand in West Covina Ca.
Nancy Ann (Granny) was an avid collector of everything! She loved sewing for her grands making everything from quilts to adorable out fits. Going out to eat with family and friends, enjoying Margarita’s and spicy bloody Marys was a favorite thing. Ice cream and stealing magnolias also brought smiles. She was a world traveler, visiting such places as Australia, New Zealand, Fuji, France, Israel, Italy, Spain, Panama, Amsterdam and Africa where she went on safari in Tanzania, She has visited almost all of the US and Canada. In 2019 she went on 7 cruises including L.A. to the Hawaii Islands and back!
Nancy Ann is survived by 2 Sons Alton (Debbie) Covina Ca and
GA Sutphen (Sue) Lake Havasu City AZ
4 Grandchildren: Jeani (Victor), Sheri (Brian),
Amanda (Ernie), Jeff (TJ).
11 Great Grands: Wyllo, Naythan, Lily, Trevor, Dyllan, Maddie, Molly, Jayden, Katie, Teagan, and Gigi.
4 Great-Great Grands: Makayla, Sadie, Andres, and Mattheu.
Nancy had many lifelong and newly made friends. She will be missed.
A special thank you to the Staff at Regency Grand memory care, Nancy was well cared for, everyone made her time at Regency Grand the best it could be….full of smiles and hugs. Vitas Hospice, what a wonderful gift your staff gives to those you help. Nancy’s passing was so peaceful, exactly as she wanted….
