

Born on September 15, 1932, in Torreón, Coahuila, México, Patrocino carried the strength and warmth of her hometown throughout her life. She eventually settled and created a beautiful home in Southern California, residing over the years in Baldwin Park and Pomona, where she became a foundational and beloved member of her community.
Patrocino (known to everyone as Granny Goose) was a remarkable woman of many talents. Over her life, she wore many hats: a dedicated restaurant cook, an entrepreneurial bar owner, and, most importantly, a devoted homemaker who nurtured her large family.
She was known for her resilience, her boundless generosity, and her wonderful sense of humor, which endeared her to everyone she met. Patrocino had a gift for conversation and loved to talk with just about anyone, leaving a lasting impression of warmth and kindness on all.
Her passions were centered around the comforts of home and nature. She loved reading, tending to her garden, and taking care of animals. Of all her talents, her cooking was legendary, filling her home with the aroma of delicious comida mexicana and making countless treasured meals for her loved ones.
Family Legacy
Patrocino’s greatest source of pride and accomplishment was her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness, strength, and love touched the lives of many. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Patrocino is survived by her children: Rosa, Oscar, Martha, Consuelo, and Judy. She was a guiding and treasured matriarch for four generations of her family, including her 16 cherished grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 5 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved children, Memito and Rebecca, who are now reunited with her.
