True that memories stays in our hearts specially to a you cousin Philippe, in our youth visiting Project 4 was a blast, laughter, eating with gusto, sharing stories,I look around and there u were in a corner smiling, when I visited LA I remembered well that you cooked delicious dishes and there was that warm smile. Time flies, it's your First death anniversary, vaya con Dios rest in peace 🙏❤️🌹

One of the first times I met Tito Philippe was at Tita Paulette and Tito Willy’s house, it was a holiday. He tried to teach me how to show older Filipino family members respect a gesture called Mano. It was so awkward because I didn’t understand completely what he was teaching me and I thought he was joking lol. A few get togethers later, when I first saw him i walked up to him and I took his hand and performed the gesture, I’ll always remember how he looked at me. He looked down at me (he is much taller than me) and gave me nod and a look of approval.  I’m so so sorry for your loss Tita Jean, Paulo, Pam and Pat. I hope you all find peace. I love you very much. 

The Tabora’s used to be our neighbor in Project 4 for many years.   We practically grew-up in the same street (Cabezas – Proj 4), but only get to know them and other neighbors when we opened a mini store (sari-sari store which we used to call back home).    

Back then Philip was a quiet person and I call him “suplado” as he seemed to be not a very friendly guy in the neighborhood.    However, years past and familiarity between neighbors become the norm, we all begin to be more relaxed and all the neighbors within that street treat each other like extended families.

The store was just across their house so we basically get to see them all the time.   I saw how Philip looked after Pau, Pam & Patrick when they were growing up and get to know how Philip cared for his family especially Jean. 

Fast forward, I get to see them again when I visited LA back in 2002 before settling to Canada.  Philip organized a get together with most of the neighbors that settled in the US especially those living in LA.   He was all out and a very generous host.   

After 2002 I didn’t get to see them until Sept 2019 when me & my husband made a short trip to LA.  I was so happy to get to spend time with Philip and Jean and we really bonded together.  We’re so lucky to have spent those happy, fun and enjoyable moments with them.   It will always be remembered and cherished forever.

We all have different journeys, different paths along the way. For some journey is quicker and for some, the journey is slow. For Philippe, his journey ends at 63. God saw him getting tired, and the cure is nil. So God put His arms around him and whispered " come to me, Philippe".  With tearful eyes, family members and friends mourn for his passing. 
Although we love him dearly, we could not make him stay. His golden heart stopped beating and his hardworking hands put to rest. God allowed our hearts to be broken to prove to us that He gave life and take it again [ Job 1: 21]. GOD is in control!
Philippe's special memories with his family and friends will always bring smiles to our face. His strength and determination to give the best for his dearly beloved Jean and children Paolo, Patrick and Pamela will surely be hidden in their hearts. Paalam Pareng Philippe!  Till we meet again.

Peace and grace be with you Philip Tabora.

People say that "A MEMORY IS A PHOTOGRAPH TAKEN BY THE HEART TO MAKE A SPECIAL MOMENT LAST FOREVER". When I learned about his passing, I remembered all the moments that I get to spend my time with him, and it was all great! My Tito Philippe is not my uncle, he was my friend. 
The memories I shared with him are some of my best. I used to sleep at their house growing up, with him cooking my favorite dish most of the time. He would say, “Jon, I have Igado for you”, and my smile went from ear to ear. He loves seeing me happy. Our talks are mostly heartfelt, and I would feel I’m one of the Tabora’s. The valuable lessons and the extensive knowledge you parted to me will never be forgotten but will be applied to life and circumstances.
 My tito is one of my heroes; the way he conducts himself was always been a man of integrity and honor. It’s evident by the 3 children (Paulo, Pamela and Patrick) lives, in how they are raised and their lives today. I’m sure that his knowledge is spread well.
Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. You will be missed; I will miss you my Tito Philippe!!!

The last time we saw Philippe in person was in L. A. less than two years ago. I never realized that this was going to be the last occassion. I was so grateful for Philippe and Jean's hospitality and kindness. They were very warm, welcoming and truly made my trip so memorable. Philippe even cooked for us. After I returned to Sacramento, we continued to communicate. Philippe was very thoughtful and the last time we spoke he told me he was unwell. I did'nt even think that this was going to be serious. Philippe was a lovely man and will be sorely missed. He is now in the hands of the Lord and may he rest in peace.

My first ever memory of Papu was just over 10 years ago when Patrick brought me home to introduce me to his family for the first time. When I told him my name was Esther, he just said “like Easter! HAPPY EASTER!” Laughed at his own joke, & then proceeded to tell me to sit down & go eat. That set the tone for the coming years. I saw how welcoming he was not only to myself, but to all those he met, new & old. I saw it with Paulo & how he integrated Wendy & Jmie into the family like they had always been there. I saw it when Pamela brought Dalton into our growing group & made it seem as if he were just another brother & son. And finally, we all saw it when Paige was brought into our lives & she became the apple of Papu’s eye. His welcoming spirit was so heartfelt & honest, that you never wanted to leave his presence or the tight knit group he brought together....and we never did leave. We’re all still together, still the same, crazy & loud group we were from all those years ago. United by Papu’s easygoing spirit & a testament to the warm glow he brought into our lives. 
Papu used to always joke that whatever holiday or event it was, that it was his last one. Whether it be his last thanksgiving, last Christmas, or even his last birthday. This past October, we got to celebrate Papu’s birthday at home, just us, all together, with all of Papu’s favorite foods. Naturally, he still served us even though it was his day. And naturally, he kept saying that this was his LAST birthday. We all just laughed & continued on, not thinking twice. If we had all known that, that would actually be Papu’s last birthday with us physically, I still don’t think he would’ve changed one second of it. That was Papu, finding joy in the simple & everyday things in life. All he needed, all he craved, was to be surrounded by his children, wife, Paige, & his puppies, having our screams, barks,  & laughter be the soundtrack to his life. Thank you for everything Papu. We love you & welcome home! Esther

I just want to say that I am blessed to witness his kindness and the love that he gave to his family. We lived with them for about 3 years and when I first brought my son around them they both welcomed him with open arms. I am very thankful for that. Papu would make him hawaiin bread with sausage before bed. (Papu loved to eat/snacks). He would always have a full pantry. I witnessed how he cared for mamu Jean. When I would get home from work there was always food on the table. When Pau & I would have our little arguments he would always side with me and he would say “malas and nagaaway sa bahay”. He spoiled her not with material things but with his love. The way he cared for her and his family is undeniable. There is not and will never be anyone like him. We’re so blessed to be able to say our goodbyes. He was a great father, loving husband and an amazing Papu. I will make sure that Bebengko (Paige) will never forget you. I know you will be watching over us and you will truly be missed. We love you.

I will always remember all of the great times we had and feel lucky to have made so many memories with you to look back on.  

My favorite memory of all was asking you and Mamu permission to ask Pamela to marry me.  It was such a special moment that I vividly remember and will never forget.  I know you will be there with her walking her down the aisle and I will be so honored to take her hand.

We are in the midst of trial times and faced with many uncertainties. 2020 hasn't been a good year worldwide and we are all driven to certainly live our lives one day at a time. A down to earth and no nonsense person (walang arte) is how I remember him. Phillipe may have gone ahead of us but he had lived a full life with you. I remember the two of you during our Merck days when he used to pick you up at work, you being blessed with 3 kids and sent to schools til they have their careers and it was you and Phillipe who made things possible. Unconditional love is the key to the longetivity of your marriage. Truly you have your angel to watch over you and your children. He is now in the arms of God Almighty. Praying 🙏for him and your family. Love you friend! ❤️

Who can ever forget the loving, kind and generous Tito Philippe who always prepares our “baon” for Jean and myself daily? I love your special spaghetti, the vegetable salad, fruits and cheese quesadilla for breakfast not to mention the regular supply of bread from 85 degrees? 

I will miss you a lot Tito Philippe and thank you for your kind words,  genuine gestures, words of wisdom and your endless love to Jean!

I have lots of great memories with my pogi cousin Philip. One that really stuck on my memory is when nagtampo sya kay Tita Anching (his mum) he would go on the roof of their house and bang it every few minutes.
Although he's far away we regularly communicate on messenger sometimes sharing great moments in life and a few naughty (😂) messages.
You'll always be alive in my memory cousin Philip, so long cuz ♥ ♥ ♥

On behalf of our friends in the Regional Trial Court, Br. 135, Makati Philippines, our heartfelt condolences to the family❤️

We were all saddened by the demise of Philippe, who was a former officemate and our great  friend for more than 3 decades.  Time and place did not become a hindrance for all of us to communicate and to see each other whenever he came home for vacation. Keeping in touch with each other became a regular part of our lives coz of Facebook and messenger.

When he was in the hospital, we always kept in touch with him , praying for him and hoping that he will soon be out of the hospital, as what he always kept on telling us that he’s already fine.  When I received a message from Jean informing that he already passed away I immediately contacted all our friends to relay them the said news, all shocked and saddened.  We all prayed together for the repose of the soul of our dear friend..

Philippe, surely you will be missed by our group, most especially your jokes. Dear friend, we will not forget you, thank you for the memories you had with us.  Now, rest in peace in heaven with our Creator❤️🌺🙏

The death of Philippe is one of the most significant grief we have had in our lives.......................

Life isn't always fair, it seems..........

Philippe, your father was indeed a very special friend and brother in law and will always take a special place in my heart and others.

Even as his health was failing in his dying hours, your father shared his noble act of selflessness
............................ thinking less about himself and more about others. Philippe did not want to be a burden to his family and made his own decision not to be resuscitated and simply peacefully bid a goodbye.

Here is one of  the loving words that Philippe said during his last moments:

“Thank you Lord for this bonus that I got to see my wife”

God saw Philippe getting tired when a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him and whispered "Come with me".

With saddened eyes we waited for Philippe as he quietly slipped away.

Although we loved him dearly, we could not make Philippe stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest.

God broke our hearts to show us He chose to take the best.

We will ALL miss him - a husband...... a Father....a brother, a brother in law , and a friend.

"Again, losing Philippe. is painful.......... very painful.

What we gained from him was something that can never ............ never be replaced".
