I am so sorry to learn of my cousins passing. It has been years since we last touched base. I am his cousin Kitty related to his fathers side of the family   My mother and his father were cousins. I able to speak today. How to you express the impact of such a venerable man in just a few moments? Many loved ones suggested I should share a favorite memory of mine. But when I tried to choose favorite I realized every single memory was special. Time spent with daddy was always filled with love, laughter and lots of food. Dad had this magical way of making something as simple as driving around an adventure, whether he was teaching me jokes I would later get in trouble for repeating, pulling over to gather rocks and steal fruit, trying a yet another questionable whole-in -the -wall restaurant or just singing and dancing to oldies.   It wasn't important what we were doing as long as we were together. Later in life when his health was declining he'd s still fight LA traffic weekly to see his granddaughter Kinsley and I for quick meal and some laughs. Unlike his health his love and support were unwavering. Even when car rides and walking became challenging for him, he made sure to be by our sides for every milestone.  Dad never expected much but gave all he had to the ones he loved. He taught me true meaning of love, the importance of togetherness and the power of laughter. I was lucky enough to see him the Thursday before he passed, and in true fashion we ended our amazing journey together with a joke. Although I was blessed with 32 years with him  if I could have just a moment more I would tell him how lucky and proud I am to have had him as a father, how he touched so many lives and how he will always live on though us. I read somewhere that grief is really just all the love you wish you could give but no longer can, that all of the unsent love gathers up in the corner of your eyes, in the lump in your throat and the hollowness of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to So today if we cry lets not cry out of sorrow but out of admiration and appreciation for a tremendous man that loved us with all that he had. I love you daddy

Papa,  

I have so many great memories with you. I will always remember our trip to Florida.  You told me you were nervous to fly, so I held your hand when we took off.   I remember your smile as we rode a jeep along side the beach.  You were so happy.   You were amazed when we went to the Wild Animal Park, especially when the wild elephants ran along side our jeep.  I was happy to have my papa there along side of me. 

You made my day when you came to see my  Taekwondo competitions.   You were such a proud papa.  I loved spending Thanksgiving with you in Big Bear. We took long walks picking up sticks and rocks.  Papa, these will be the memories that I will hold close to my heart. 

You made sure that I got my birthday card on my birthday.  You always managed to buy a birthday card with a monkey on it.  Papa I love you for your unconditional love you had for me.   

Papa thank you for being apart of my life.  My memories of us will live forever in my heart. I love you papa. I will not say goodbye. I will just say "see you later my sweet papa" .

I will miss cooking for you.  You always loved the food I made for you.  I know my love and passion for food has come from you.  I know my clumsy ways has come from you.   Most importantly my goofy and fun personality is from you.  You truly have inspired me to be a chef.  I only wish you could see me graduate from high school.  I know you will looking down at me.  I know you loved all of us. You truly showed your love by your actions and your funny phone calls to me.   I know you are having a feast in he heavens above.   You are my sweet papa and always will be.  I will hold my memories of you close to my heart papa.

Uncle Mickey you were such a sweet person and so funny...im never going to forget you ...I wish we visited each other more 
and we had many attempts to do so... it hurts my heart that this is the time i will see you but now you will be with grandpa ,grandma and dad...I will forever love you ❤

Daddy you have always been my biggest fan.  I have felt your love for me every single day.  You were such a fun and silly dad.  I will cherish all the crazy adventures we had.  Most of all, I will remember and pass on to my kids all the things about life you’ve taught me.  So much of who I have become is because of you.  You will always be in my heart. 

Daddy,   I looked forward to your phone calls and your goofy messages you  would leave me on voicemail.   And each birthday, you would manage to get me the silliest card that would make me laugh.  
Your were my comedian.  

Food always seem to be your motivator. The moment anyone mentioned food, you would be in the best mood.   I remember our trips to Perry Boys Restaurant.   You knew it was "all you can eat", so you made sure you got your money's worth by camping out there for several hours. 

 I loved your silly songs you would sing to us on our ride home.  You were my own star. 

I loved the rides to Azusa Canyon with  2 car loads of kids.  You showed us how to catch fish by hand. You showed us how to steal strawberries from the farmer across the street so we could have homemade strawberry shortcake for dessert.  You added corruptness to my innocent life.  

And papa let's not forget how you got in trouble by mom for taking all of us to see "Billy Jack" .    I can still remember when you went to my elementary school to beat up a kid that hurt me and made me cry.    You were my protector.  

I can still remember when I was in band at Las Palmas Jr High. You followed me along the entire parade route.   I finally told you many years later that I only pretended to play the flute. I admitted to you that I was too clumsy to play an instrument and march at the same time.  You were my motivator.   

 I have so many fun and goofy memories of us.    Thank you daddy for a life time of fun memories.   You have made me who I am today.  I love you today, tomorrow and always.
