A story about my Mother

The day was cold and windy and I went to see my mother at the hospital. Desiree and Joshua were there. I had this urge when I got there to hug and hold my mother for awhile. I took my jacket off and held my mother, she held me back, She was surprised by the length of the hug. She told me “Oh Timothy I love you too”. as she patted my arm. So, I sat with my mother and talked for awhile. Then it was time to go, I gave her another long hug goodbye for the evening Mom then told me she had a dream. She said she dreamed she was in a garden of flowers and she had the same dream twice and it was like she was really there. She said when she woke up it was disappointing that she found herself in the hospital still. I asked her “A garden” she said yep. I laughed. Mom was going to sleep I said goodbye and gave Joshua a hug goodnight. Joshua looked up surprisingly and told me I have a bee on my chest. I said with a loud voice “what a bee”. I looked down and saw a bee on my chest. Mom about jumped out of the bed throwing the covers off and yelling BEE! I grabbed the bee with my hand thinking now what, so I threw the bee on the floor and stepped on it. I then reassured mom there was no more bee threat. Then mom and others in the room bursted out laughing and saying wow. I told mom the bee was from her garden. Of course mom said laughing “yea right” 

I would like to say we know the bee didn’t pop out of the air however, the bee got there some how and how god can take a sad situation and turn it into a time of joy and peace. My Mother would want us to have unconditional love and joy in our lives.

Before my grandma Sarah became ill she was over at my parents house and asked me a simple question, that later on would mean more to me than I would ever know.  She asked me "Camellia, what's your favorite flower?" I answered back "I don't know grandma, I don't think I really have one" she said "You don't have one!? Well which one do you like" I said back "Well I guess which ever flowers attract dragonflies because those are my favorite". My grandma then said "Well Camellia just know that when I die I will come visit you as a dragonfly". She then laughed like she often did when she spoke to me and I simply answered back "Okay grandma".  My birthday, November 8, 2018 just passed and it was my first one where my grandma wasn't physically here.  She always called me on my birthday to talk and let me know she loved me.  I worked on my birthday and I walked outside to go on my lunch break.  There are no flowers outside my office building but there it came right around me and next to my shoulder, a dragonfly.  The most peaceful dragonfly I have ever seen but most importantly felt.  I automatically said "Hi grandma" because there was no doubt in my mind that it was her.  She wasn't going to let me down and made sure she greeted me on my birthday and let me know how much she loves me,  just like she did every year.  

This was a picture of my Grandma at my wedding. She looks so happy :) 

Sarah was an angel that left a legacy of beautiful godly children and grandchildren. She showed love and kindness to all and I know God Almighty greeted her at the pearly gates and said,  "WELL DONE, MY GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT". We must strive to be more like her in this weary world we live in.....for she defined LOVE!

Sarah,  always smiling, talking and waving. One only had to meet her once to see what a sweet woman she was. Such a pleasure to be around, a woman after Gods own heart.  She will be greatly missed and always remembered ♥

Our sincerest condolences to the Padilla family. I had the pleasure to have met Sarah through my sister Anna Padilla and Tim Padilla. She was a very sweet woman, intelligent and  kind.  May  God's love and comfort  bring  peace to the family in these difficult moments.  God Bless you all.
