She was born in Los Angeles, CA to Walter Elwood Brown and Margaret Gerharz Brown on November 21, 1940.
She is survived by her spouse, Donald Eugene Foster of San Dimas, CA, as well as 6 living children: Sherralynn Gonzales, Margaret Jeffers Boraz, Kathy Cooper, William S. Carey, Jr., John F. Carey, James F. Carey; and predeceased by her son, Joseph F. Carey.
She has 17 grandchildren, 13 who are living. She has 6 great-grandchildren.
Susan was especially fond of her maternal grandmother, Lizbeth Weibel Gerharz, who lived to be 105 years of age, and who played the major role in Susan’s upbringing in Glendora, CA.
The funeral will be graveside only and held at 9AM on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Oakdale Cemetery located on Grand Ave in Glendora, CA.

Susan always said that her children were her greatest accomplishment in life and being a mother gave her purpose and identity. She loved them fiercely. She will be sorely missed by all.
