Dearest Orpha and Ruben,
It is with sadness that I write this memory, but also I feel like rejoicing that she is now in the comfort of the loving arms of our precious lord.Words can never take the pain of losing a parent and one that was as unique as your mother. I always remember making her laugh with my silliness and enjoyed how she would always tell me I am too much. Such great memories I have with your family when you moved to southern California. Her coming home was a day that I am sure she would dream about and although he had a purpose and a plan for your mother's life he also had a plan of the day that he would call upon her and take her home where she belongs. The overwhelming joy your mother must feel as she entered into the presence of the lord, the utter bliss of her body being made whole,  without pain and suffering where she will reign as you and Ruben continue on with your life, an angel she becomes,  a very special one.

What a mighty woman of God!  I never got to know my own grandparents,  but I called sister Garza "grandma," and it gave me great joy to do so.  I will never forget her, and while it's sad to see her leave us, I'm rejoicing for her today, and I will be thrilled to see her again.  May God bless you, Orpha, for taking such good care of your mom.   May God comfort you, and your whole family.  I love you!

Words cannot begin to express the love I have for my Tia Victoria. She was kind, loving and a big part of my childhood. She made me fell safe,taught me about the Bible,  and always kept in touch with my family. She will truly be missed. May she rest in peace.

Dear family, 

It is with a heavy heart that I send my condolences to you. Your mother, grandmother was my second mom away from home and after Kristina was born became my " Grandma" too. 
She was a very strong woman and a great encourager of the word of God. Like many others, I always knew that I could count on her for prayer and support. There was never a doubt in my mind that she was always remembering me and my loved ones in prayer. From day one we connected and eventually she and Orpha took me in as  one of their roommates.  Becoming  a part of your family was ordained by God.  Thank you for sharing her with me.   I now hold many fond memories of Grandma  dear  to my heart.  My most recent was laughing together over one of her funny stories during her last days. I know I will see that smile again when she greets me in heaven.  Until then, we strive to keep her legacy alive by living for Christ as she did. 
See you soon Grandma, I love you and thank you again for EVERYTHING.
