

Brenda was born on May 14, 1950, in Sweet Home, Oregon, to Robert and Gloria Friedley.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, John Thompson, her parents, and 3 siblings: Bobbie Friedley; Linda Shannon (Robert), Steve Friedley (Kathy).
Brenda is survived by her current husband, and love of her life, Nick Smith, daughters April (Gabriel) Garcia, Bridgeport, Washington, and Joy (Ron) Lewis, Dyer Hill, Washington, along with Grandchildren Johnnie Thompson (Heather Nash), Emilio Mendoza, Rocky Lewis (Carmen Amezcua), and Jenaya Lewis (Mauricio Blanco).
Brenda has 2 great grandchildren: Emma Thompson; Emree Sweat Amezcua Lewis.
Brenda is also survived by 3 siblings: Fred Campbell; Scott Campbell; and, Gary (Bonnie) Friedley (Weiser, Idaho).
Brenda took great pride in being a devoted homemaker and pouring her heart into creating a warm and loving home, with raising her 2 daughters being her greatest purpose.
She worked at the Weiser Care Center for a short time in her life, which she enjoyed very much.
Brenda was known for speaking her mind and telling it like it is. She enjoyed going to the mountains, the ocean, and going on drives. Her warmth touched the lives of all who knew her.
A Grave-Side Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at the Mold Cemetery.
Mold Cemetery Directions:
15 miles north of Coulee City on State Route 17, turn east on Road 9 NE. Go 2 miles to the Mold Cemetery.
Following the Grave-Side Service, a memorial dinner will be served at the Coulee City Senior Center, 520 Douglas Street in Coulee City.
