She was born on November 7, 1945, in Oakhill, Oklahoma, the beloved daughter of Haskel and Hazel Sorrels. Pat grew up with her siblings Sue, Jerry, Charles (wife Cindy), Bill (wife Lisa), and Harold.
In 1958, her parents and brothers moved to Northern California, where Pat attended McKinleyville schools. In January, 1962, she married David Phil Holliman, attended beauty school in Eureka, California, and welcomed their daughter, Tina, in October, 1962. Three years later, she moved to Washington, and in 1966 she married Harry James Magglas. Together they had son Donald in July, 1967 at Fort Lewis Army Base.
During this journey of life, Patricia, with two children, spent a year in Panama City, and in 1969 she relocated to Wilbur, Washington. It was in Wilbur that she met the love of her life, O. Paul Bodeau. They were married on May 23,1970, and together they had daughter Erin on August 5, 1977, son Theodore Joseph on January 1, 1980.
Over the years, Patricia worked at Deb’s Café, Ma’s Café, in the butcher shop at IGA, Dick’s Thrift, and as a bookkeeper at the fertilizer plant before she settled into the life of a farm wife.
Pat was a devoted farm wife and homemaker, finding joy in caring for her family and her home. She loved decorating, shopping, gardening, traveling, and watching movies, but most of all, she cherished spending time with those she loved. We mourn the passing of our beloved Pat, but we also celebrate her. Pat was the matriarch of the family who selflessly loved, nurtured, and protected the family. She was our rock and foundation. Some would say she was feisty and spunky. She was a great friend and helped so many people through difficult times. She touched so many lives and left her imprint that we will all carry with us forever.
She is survived by her husband, O. Paul Bodeau; her children Tina, Donnie, and Erin (husband Carter); her grandchildren Janae, Jessica, Joe (wife Megan), Ashlyn, Evan, Eric, and Leah; and her great-grandchildren Cambria, Jacob, Jeremiah, Shawn, Cassidy, Skyla, and Hazel.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Haskel and Hazel Sorrels; her son, Theodore Joseph; her sister, Sue; and her brothers, Jerry and Harold.
A memorial service to honor Pat’s life will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Catholic Church in Wilbur, Washington. Graveside burial then luncheon to follow in the basement of the Catholic Church.
Pat will be remembered for her warmth, her love of family, and the joy she brought to all who knew her.
