He was known in the community as a master builder, constructing many homes in the area. He was one of
Jehovah’s Witnesses serving as a ministerial servant. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Over the years he enjoyed roller skating, gardening, and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 52 years, Phyllis Cox, his son, Cary Cox, and daughter-in-law, Crystal Cox, and a sister, June Whaley.
Survivors include his two grandsons: Brandon and Justin Cox; siblings David (Volena) Cox, Mona (Dwight) Myers, Sherry (Mark) Baynes, Gary (Nanette) Cox, and Howard Whaley; and sister-in-law Barbara (Ray) Nease. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 440 Hal Henard Road on February 16, 2025 at 3:30pm.
