

He was born in Driscoll, Texas in 1938, then moved to Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of three. He joined the Air Force in 1956, after completing High School. Then he spent 37 years in service of his country from 1956 – 1998.
Glenn received a Bachelor of Arts degree in German and History with a minor in Russian from Trinity University in 1974. Then in 1975 received a Master of Arts, in Education from University of Texas, in San Antonio, Texas.
Glenn successfully taught officers from 28 different countries to speak English as a certified Master Instructor with the Defense Language Institute at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. He retired from Civil Service as Supervisory Instructional Systems Specialist at Good Fellow Air Force Base in San Angelo, Texas.
Glenn also had a passion for Country Music. He played in several bands and had several recordings during his lifetime.
Glenn is survived by his spouse, Eva “Buttons” Rogers; daughters, Dawna Larson, Pam (Clay) Sheppard and Kim (Dennis) Tompkins; grandchildren, Kyle (Lauren) Campbell, Chase Frost, Kayla (Chris) Holley, Caleb Renner and Brayden Tompkins; great grandchildren, Liam, Grayson, and Magnolia; siblings, Beth (Willard) Cole, Vicky (Robert) Keeney; sisters-in-law, Denise (Roger) Wilson and Debbie (Paul) McCrary; a brother-in-law, Ted (Cheryl) Humbert as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, AG Rogers and mother, Lois Rogers.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 1 pm in Mountain Home Veterans Cemetery; Greene County Honor Guard and AirForce Honors Teams will conduct a military graveside service.
The family wishes to extend a very special thanks to Amedysis Hospice, especially nurse, Megan Casteel and C.N.A. Anita Pierce.
In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary, gifts be given to Amedysis Hospice.
