She was a former employee of Magnavox and also, a former Volunteer at Takoma Hospital.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Betty is survived by two daughters, Tina Ridha of Johnson City and Nickie (Ronnie) Babb of Greeneville; a sister, Dorothy Roberts of Greeneville as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Roy and Alma Roberts; and was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Lyle Babb.
There will be no formal visitation.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 11 am in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens with Chaplain Joe Hamlet and Chaplain Mark Abernathy officiating.
Family and friends are asked to meet at 10:50 am at the cemetery for the graveside service.
