She was an employee of Magnavox, Doak Elementary School Cafeteria, and later retired from American Greetings.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was an inspiration to everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Childress; three children and their spouses: Wayne and Debbie Childress, Mark Childress, and Kerry and Pamela Lester; grandchildren: Cody Childress, Braelyn Childress, Keelen Lester, Kameron Lester, Kyleigh Lester; three great-grandchildren: Braydon Blagg, Mystica Blagg, and Adalynn Childress; two sisters: David and Connie Tipton; Don and Nancy Stout; one brother, Charlie and Wilma Miller; one brother-in-law, Floyd and Agnes Childress; one sister-in-law, Jane Holt-Grooms; special friend, Trish Wilkerson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of the late Emery and JoAnn Miller. She was preceded in death by four brothers and their wives: Russell and Judy Miller, Don and Brenda Miller, John Miller, and Bill Miller; a special granddaughter, Heather Childress Blagg; and a special friend, Louise Jaynes.
The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 pm on Friday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Logan Lamb will officiate. Interment will then be conducted at Greenwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Anthony, Tim, Jacob, and Kaleb Tipton, and Keelen, Kameron Lester, and Cody Childress.
