

Betty June Fillers Waddell August 18, 1931– April 14, 2026. Betty Waddell, 94, of Greeneville, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 from natural causes. She was a member of Solomon Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and delivering her famous chocolate pies to her church family and friends.
Survivors include: Her son and daughter and spouses: Don Waddell (Janet) and Amy Jeanne Waddell Burns (Tommy): grandchildren and spouses: Joel Burns (Jody); Andrea Waddell Barnard (James); Justin Burns (Jessica); Stephen Waddell (Michelle); Amanda Waddell White (Scott); John Waddell (Anna). Great-grandchildren: Grayson Burns (Lexi), Lawson Burns, Simon Burns; Gwendolyn Barnard, William Barnard; Kaylie Burns, Mackenzie Burns; Hannah White, Wesley White; and Sister-in-Law: Wanda Fillers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband: Clinton Waddell; Parents: Junior and Ruth Fillers; Sisters, Brother, and Brother-in-Laws: Mary (Ray) Peterson, Novella (Guy) Ellenburg, Edna King, Madelyn (H.C.) Greene, J.S. Fillers.
The family will receive friends 3-4 pm Sunday, April 26, 2026 at Solomon Lutheran Church.
The funeral service will be held immediately following at 4:00 pm with Rev. Larry Moore, Joel Burns, Don Waddell and Rev. Sonya Solomon officiating.
Interment will follow in Solomon Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Larry Waddell, Stephen Waddell, Justin Burns, John Waddell, Joel Burns, James Barnard and Scott White.
Honorary Pallbearers are the men of Solomon Lutheran Church, Friends, and Neighbors.
