

He was a member of Cedar Creek Presbyterian Church.
Billy was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He was a procurement officer for Greene Valley Developmental Center.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years: Betty Payne Humphreys; two daughters: Amy Crum and Donna Harvill and her fiancé, Mark Moore of the Cedar Creek Community; granddaughter: Nicole Angel; grandsons: William and Whittney Crum of Mosheim and Chris Crum of Greeneville; two special great grandsons: Logan Angel and Bryan Humphreys who lives at home; great granddaughter: Waverly Crum; step granddaughter: Cheyenne Bass of Old Fort, North Carolina; brother: Bob Humphreys of Orlando, Florida; sister and brother-in-law: Dorothy and Wayland Mays; two nephews: Don Payne of Greeneville and Lyndell Humphreys of Orlando; niece: Linda Albine of Orlando; three great nephews and a great niece; special friends to the family: Brian and Mandy Hixson and family; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Sandra Weller, Peggy Vaughn, J. H. and Mary Lou Payne, and Bobby Payne of Greeneville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cloyd and Adelaide Humphreys; and two sisters, Lorraine Payne and Margurite Humphreys.
The family will receive friends from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-7pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Harrell Cobb and Rev. Kevin Casteel officiating.
Interment will follow in Andrew Johnson National Cemetery. Greeneville V.F.W. Post #1990 will conduct a military graveside service.
Pallbearers will be Don Payne, Hoot Bowers, Mike Davis, Mike Albine, Donald Collins, Dan Walker, Chris Crum, Willie Crum, and Robert “Bill” Solomon.
Honorary pallbearers are Willis Crum, Carl Kiser, Dale Collins, Gene Chamberlain, John Price, Jim Shelton, Ivan Collins, Kenneth Bowers, Fred Brobeck, Dr. J. R. McKinney, Rockey Luster, and all of Bill’s friends.
The family extends a special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice and the fourth floor and ICU nurses of Takoma Hospital.
