

He retired from Philips Consumer Electronics (Magnavox) after 45 years of service.
Mr. McAmis was a member Friendship Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years: Dorothy Jane McAmis; a daughter and son-in-law: Pam and Jason Smith; two sons and daughters-in-law: Nick and Shay McAmis and Jerad and Angela McAmis; a daughter-in-law: Sandra McAmis, all of Greeneville; nine grandchildren: Tracy Holmes and husband, John, Sarah Jones and husband, Scott, Chad Smith, Gwendalin Smith, Madison Smith, Thomas McAmis, Susie McAmis, Paul Newton and Dyllan Newton; seven great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Bud and Sandra McAmis and Bobby and Diane McAmis, all of Greeneville; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Lorraine and Eddie Charlton and Betty Barnes; one aunt: Lochille Light; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the son of the late Ben and Opal McAmis and was preceded in death by a son, Billy Lyle McAmis, and a brother-in-law, Paul Barnes.
The family will receive friends 5-8 pm Wednesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
Following visitation, the funeral service will be held at 8 pm in the funeral home chapel with Preacher Bob Simpson and Rick Bowser officiating.
Interment will be at 11 am Thursday in Pine Grove Cemetery on the Horton Highway. Family and friends are asked to meet at 10 am Thursday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry McAmis, Scott Jones, Clinton Franklin, Howard Hensley, Tim McAmis, Roger Britton, John Holmes, and Cletus Miller.
